Is the dub condemning the scene and those characters and hypocrisy of Axiom Church more? Of course Administrator cast a fucking anti-dragon barrier. Alice rides a dragon but can't jump on a metal stake?

    Gotta say I had no interest in Ready Player One. Wreck-it Ralph was a good videogame movie with references, though. Ready Player One just seemed like a really cliche concept and story with tons of references and cameos thrown in for the sake of it and a cgi fuckfest. That shot with all the cars on the the Hot Wheels-ass looking tracks? Really? Hard to take serious. That and the last of the true mega-nerds. Anime is semi-mainstream and acceptable now, but tabletop gamers are still lepers, right? Pretty sure that's the last of "geek culture" (I hate that term) that hasn't gone mainstream. You know what's hilarious, is I remember my friend telling me years ago how Battletech fans apparently accused Robotech of ripping off Battletech? I had no idea about this! https://www.pcgamesn.com/battletech/battletech-harmony-gold-lawsuit I was always under the impression that Gundam made a big splash on the original Toonami (and I remember toys and model kits being all over ToyFare and other magazines, and in stores,) but then fizzled out and went niche. It is true that it continued to air for a while longer I guess. Wasn't there a big hiatus though, due to Sunrise being difficult to work with? Edit - Watched clip. The Gundam and MechaGodzilla should be way bigger than that. Characters look stupid. Obvious cgi is obvious. Unless it's supposed to look like a videogame? Because it doesn't look real.

    The only Gundam series I've liked so far were G Gundam and the first season of IBO. IBO season 2 really shat the bed. Most other Gundam series have a crybaby protagonist and/or some cheesy and pretentious preaching. One series even has fighters from opposite sides falling in love. Well that's good, then.

    Eh, not just atmosphere, but you can't compare the sense of community you get from Toonami, to just watching stuff by yourself at any given time. And yeah I have friends that like anime and we have watched some together in the past, but we don't get together that often anymore and it's not like anime is the only hobby we share or thing we would watch or do. Using social media to discuss anime is ass. The layout for Twitter is horrid and chaotic, and things quickly get buried, you can't go back to it easily like on a forum. Reddit has a HORRIBLE layout and user interface. Facebook's layout is decent but it has the same issue of impermanence as the others. So yeah maybe Toonami itself doesn't serve much more of a practical purpose to most, and cable is only killing itself with its insane pricing and business models, but the experience really can't be replicated. And I have news for people. Everything going streaming will quickly and easily exceed cable bills. It was fine when it was just a few services and they had huge libraries. Every one trying to have their own service defeats the purpose of Netflix and Hulu with their massive libraries. People are going to be pirating a lot because they're not going to subscribe to a streaming platform just to watch one fucking show.

    EPISODE 17 DISCUSSION Last time on Sword Art Online: Alicization, Kirito and Eugeo finished their battle with Fanatio and Kirito had her transported to the library to be healed by Cardinal, using up one of their special daggers. They finally made their way to Alice and had quite the battle. They thought they had one when Eugeo froze Alice, but she was able to free herself. Kirito and Alice clashed with their Perfect Weapon Control, which resulted in blowing out the wall of the tower and sending them both back outside, before the wall healed itself!     Or they could just put something else there... I wasn't suggesting they play a rerun. But yeah, not sure what the plan is here if there's going to be a delay for the new episodes. Either way moving everything up sounds like a bad idea that's already failed once before.

I mean it's not like the people who still cared about Samurai Jack had any issues finding it. In the same interview, he was also bitter about Lucasfilm doing the CGI Clone Wars, but changed his mind on that at least. Genndy's Clone Wars series is awesome but the CGI series is great in its own right too. You couldn't have had the CGI series without Genndy's series. It's a clear inspiration and direct spiritual successor. I also thought sequel of sorts but Genndy's series isn't canon anymore for some reason? Does it conflict somehow with the other series? He also openly bitches about doing the Hotel Transylvania movies over his own stuff (gotta say I got no indication from the trailers that he made them and they don't interest me AT ALL) and Hollywood not buying any of his original ideas. I'm sure that will do him wonders.

    I am surprised they didn't put AoT first. I thought MHA did bad which is why they removed it from opening up before. Thought maybe they put it here to be the future anchor after Super ends, but Daos sais MHA just has 12 episodes left, so I dunno. I agree that The Promised Neverland and Attack on Titan go perfectly together. So many parallels there. Yeah when I first saw the report from CBR or whatever it was I thought they moved everything up, too, but that's not the case. They worded that article really poorly.
