I doubt she was inspired by such characters or intentionally racist designed. It could be an unfortunate coincidence with how weird and over the top the manga art is. I've seen some other shots of characters looking really weird and inhuman in the manga. Isabela looks really weird in some shots. I'll have to go chapter by chapter though and not time for that now. I could get spoilers if I google for random pics. But yeah she looks better in the anime.

Norman's horn-shaped cowlick bugs the hell out of me. Emma also has a stalk of hair on top of her head and two in the back. A lot of the kids have weird hair stuff going on. Not sure if they symbolize anything.

Apparently some folks were not a big fan of Krone's portrayal when she was first introduced in the manga. At least she seems better done in the anime, though. It is cleverly interwoven for sure. I would not have known this episode and the last one were filler if I hadn't looked it up. The episode with the fake Neji is canon, so the White Zetus impersonating people is canon, but not these past two episodes. Honestly I could see the whole White Zetsu infiltrator thing being filler altogether, since it seems like kind of a subplot side thing, but its canon and then they used it to milk some filler out of it. Well played indeed lmao. But now it makes me wonder if Neji was the only White Zetsu fake or if this is more widespread in the canon story. It seems kind of dumb for the bad guys to just do that once to try to kill Sakura of all people and some random medical ninjas. Though I guess taking out the medics would be a serious blow to the army.
