    The arc in the tower makes me think that maybe Reki should have just been writing shonen all along. They progress up the tower fighting various people until they get to the main villain. A simple, straightforward story. It reminded me of arc with General White in Dragon Ball, which in turn was based on that Bruce Lee movie.

    This arc makes me think of Gurren Lagann after the Spiral King was beaten. Where most shows would end, here we see what happens after the bad guys are overthrown and the good guys are in charge. And what they would actually have to do to be able to run things.

    Is Tsukasa the best anti-science villain the author could come up with? In the real world, the anti-science people are the corrupt ones who want to maintain the status quo, the ones who Tsukasa hates and is culling. And Tsukasa has the makings of a great charismatic dictator, but real dictators have used science to their advantage, in terms of weapons technology. Not really sure what he was going for here. I still dont think this show even needed a villain. Just building back up the world would have been enough. The arc of making medicine for Ruri had no villain involvement and it was great.

Well, maybe both of them are bi, but Kirito has Asuna and Eugeo was in love with Alice. But at least SAO had Yuuki. And the GGO series But Reki didn't write that one.
