I use Netflix, Hulu, Tubi occasionally. I still have my Funimation Now account, grandfathered in at the earlier, cheaper rate, and I refuse to get rid of it until it and get Crunchyroll until Funimation Now is completely shut down and everything is moved to Crunchyroll. There's STILL stuff on Funimation Now that isn't on Crunchyroll, and they still haven't made it so watch history and queue migrates over, and probably never will, it was such a half-assed merger. Plus, I'm not going to pay two subscriptions to the same company. If I can't find what I want to watch on those platforms and a few others, there are other ways. Now, if only Disney Plus would absorb Hulu already. It wouldn't change what I pay, since we pay for the Disney and another family member pays for the Hulu, but it would be less platforms to have to open up. But yeah, I've been going on a bit of an super anime-thon in recent months. Making up for lost time I spent on other hobbies, but also the foolish notion of "saving" a show to watch it for the first time on Toonami.

Elephants are my favorite animal. I do hope we have something good or at least substantial to replace MHA, though.

A lot of light novel series are bad, especially Isekai ones, but there are some outliers. Konosuba was surprisingly enjoyable. It's actually more of a parody and deconstruction of the isekai and harem genres. I recently watched My Next Life as a Villainess, that Blatch mentioned. It was really good, and you will need tissues if you watch it, but don't worry, most of them will be tears of joy! Although it maybe doesn't have enough action, Demarco did say they would air non-action shows. It is a Crunchyroll show, though. I don't know if Toonami has been intentionally avoiding light novel adaptations or not, but some of the popular shows they've never touched is baffling. The people running it being out of touch may be part of the problem. Maybe there are some shows they can't get, but maybe there's also some shows they aren't even looking at.

It could be an exercise in futility and definitely not something Toonami should be counting one or trying to build a schedule around. Crunchyroll shows should be shows Toonami can get if they can, not shows that if they can't get, everything goes to shit. I do hope Toonami looks into the Sentai catalogue more and I'm glad to see Demarco was taking suggestions. I've never heard that only one Sentai show could air at a time. I don't know why that would be. Has it been a pattern? That sounds like a coincidence.

I went through it and clicked on some shows. I never would have thought to go on Hidive and check there. And I had already been going through this list when I saw that post. I didn't know Hidive was exclusively Sentai stuff, either. At any rate, I don't feel like going through another list, and Sentai has a lot more shows than I thought. There's also some shows they dubbed but didn't license, so it's kind of confusing. I recently watched Familiar of Zero and enjoyed it quite a lot. Unfortunately only the first season is dubbed, and only the final season is on streaming platforms. I can't believe it is so unpopular in the U.S. It predates the modern glut of isekai series and is probably a lot better than most of those series too. But, the first season tells a complete story, so it's possible to air it. I suppose it is pretty far-fetched to expect Toonami to get Sentai to dub the other 3 seasons. Some of the Fate series are under Sentai, but not all, oddly enough. I don't know why Toonami never went after that franchise, but I can't remember it being highly requested either. I have yet to see any of it. I watched a few episodes of Danmachi and it seemed pretty dull, and Hestia was annoying. Maybe it would be better now, dubbed, and under a different frame of mind. The person who urged me to watch it was swearing it's way better than SAO and it didn't seem that way to me. Log Horizon is another one I've heard good things about, and it being better than SAO. I never watched it, and a show about political drama in a game world didn't sound appealing to me. It looks like the author is reduced to self-publishing after his tax evasion incident. His artist and publisher aren't working with him anymore. Is tax evasion really considered more scandalous than sex crimes in Japan? On the other hand, a new anime season same out in 2021, so maybe we will see the ending of this animated after all? Besides what was mentioned here, I saw a couple shows that looked appealing that might work for the block. Princess Principal and Tears to Tiara. But, there's not a lot of shows that are action that I've seen, that could fit on Toonami. And I won't have time to watch these two in time to recommend to Demarco, so I'll just put Familiar of Zero. Sadly, no one has suggested it yet. By the way, I barely use it, but Twitter is really annoying now. It makes you constantly push "see more tweets," and it's got a ton of ads and promoted tweets now.

I knew it was only a matter of time, but may as well get this over with and rip the band-aid off. Let's just hope a Pop Team Epic return isn't coming next. Season 5 is divisive? Is it because this part of the manga is bad, or the anime did a bad job covering the material? I did hear the manga had a pretty lame noncomittal ending. Is Erina's relationship with her brother as incestuous as the fan art suggests? I honestly thought he was a fan character when I first saw the art. And how much worse could this be than the rest of the show, honestly? Also the MAL score is 7.32. I would think the worst season of friggin Food Wars would have a lot worse score than that. ANN shows Food Wars: The Fifth Plate as licensed by Crunchyroll with production by Sentai. Sentai released the blu-ray. So, that should count for something... I think? I am quite baffled that MHA continues to be doubled up. Why would they burn through it like this?

He said the same thing about .hack. Although, this seems like a poor way to do business and please viewers. They really can't afford to be picky right now. Yes, as soon they pick up a show, they know when it's going to end, and should start planning for its replacement at least that soon. Having these delays and stalling tactics, holding patterns, is unacceptable. If anything I am more willing to put the blame on the Toonami side for incompetence and slowness. We've seen the stupid crap Demarco says online in public, like complaining about Sony not giving them stuff and saying they're locked out of Demon Slayer. Who knows what goes on in those meetings and correspondence.
