Been watching all the panels and coverage of Star Wars Celebration since it started. A bit tired because of that. Hopefully I'll be able to stay up through Toonami tonight. Panels and stuff stuff were great. Great tributes to Carrie. Awesome surprise appearances. The Last Jedi Trailer was awesome. Sad to hear Rebels is ending but glad Filoni is getting to end the story on his own terms this time, and the story does seek like it is heading that way. Trailer for Season 4 was awesome as well by the way. Anyway took a nap and here we are for Jack so hopefully I'll make it, haha. We'll see how it goes.

I thought they supposedly did that because the original footage was "lost" or something. But yeah now that you mentioned it I'm glad we haven't seen it in this saga. That was awful.

I really do hope that Tokyo Ghoul was a last minute pickup that they scrambled to grab because One Piece got canceled on short notice, because I feel like if they had more time to plan they could've come up with something better. Then again the deal could've been inked for a while, and the show came in a bit sooner because One Piece unexpectedly left, so who knows.

That's a good point. Most shows on other networks get promoted throughout their run, typically with a "next time on" on type of deal. This might be difficult with all of the shows Toonami has in such a compacted space, but it couldn't hurt to run those general lineup promos more often. Maybe after the initial set of promos they figure the lead-ins are enough to keep people around. And of course, usually if someone likes the first episode of a show they'll tune in for the rest, or at least the next few weeks. Like a restaurant, you get one first impression.

They're doing a lot of things to derail momentum lately. They preempted Samurai Jack and Dragonball Super pointlessly because HURDUR April Fools. Now they're derailing Tokyo Ghoul's momentum to double up on JoJo to air Attack on Titan faster, because reasons. Remember all the spiel about not having too many schedule shakeups and keeping the block stable so it doesn't disrupt the viewers' experience and ratings? So much for that!

Demarco can try to justify all the bullshit "holidays" he wants, but if we took it a step further and attempted the program the block around every major sporting, entertainment, and other event going on the block would pretty much never air. Toonami already took a hit from Jack and Super not airing and you forget the rest of the block still aired that night. And again there was no forewarning of this aside from Demarco's stupid Twitter which most people don't look at. I hope they choke on that nugget. So then there was no point of airing this now when they could've just ran promos. This was pure dickery. Williams Street can burn in Hell and Lazzo should pull a Hudsucker Proxy.

Oh, good. I hope that's the case.

So is JoJo going to come back ever or were the ratings not good enough?
