Him having a girlfriend doesn't magically cancel that out. Now mommy's gonna die too. Also the show is trying way too hard to make the Ghouls sympathetic with this psycho Dove guy. Still not sure what the Doves actually DO, by the way. Do they simply investigate and monitor the ghouls are or they eradicators? Either way bug eye man has already killed several ghouls that could've given him more information.

Ok ya gotta admit that fight was pretty badass. This show really needs to explain the whole kagune thing more. "If you want to live you'll have to eat yourself!" That doesn't make sense as a snappy one-liner or in general, given what we know of how things work in this universe. The show does realize that just because he has a girlfriend doesn't make him not an asshole right?

Okay what she just described makes more sense than how Armin explained it, but the walls look nothing like that crystal cocoon. They sure as hell aren't transparent. Regardless of materials though, none of this explains how the walls were built in the first place when the Titans apparently had free reign of the world back then. Yeah the viewers don't know what her name is either. Another trend continues, that of battering the viewers over the head with a sledgehammer. Case in point - LOOK AT IT, PRIEST! Why is Ymir acting like such a psycho? I'd imagine the light of the full moon is allowing the Titans to move about.

So it's not a huge surprise, though I had thought some of it could be due to anime padding season 1, this minute by minute hour by hour portayal of events continues. It makes for good drama and suspense, but it slows the plot movement to a crawl. Also has almost no rewatchability.

Yakon looks like something from Dragonball. Why the hell are they playing this superhero music? Kakarot isn't a fool... when it comes to fighting, at least. Yakon ate his Super Saiyan form. Ok so you're going to overfeed him. But isn't this still a waste of energy? I don't suppose we have a Killi->Frieza Army Power Level Converter? Say what you will about the trope, but at least Babidi realized he was underestimating his opponents and amended his strategy. Yakon was still too weak though!

MAH-PATA-MAH-PAH! Vegeta's owning of Pui Pui was MUCH more badass in the original version. Maybe it was the dialogue and dat Faulconer score. Toei knows that's where Videl got her blue eyes from right? : Aww Mr. Saiyaman... Bulma's new look is something I've seen somewhere but can't place it. Mashiro maybe? I don't know if I would call it "frumpy" but Videl doesn't look nearly as cute as she did in Z. I think it's hilarious how Bulma and Whis are just casual friends now considering what happened earlier. Those noises Goku made every time Chichi took a step. Good luck keeping Pan from fighting, Chichi. Saiyan or not a baby is a baby. Be careful guys. You should've known Goku wasn't going to settle down like that Chichi. Even though he could make money as a fighter or something... *sigh* Annnnd he ends up training after all. We all knew it. Chichi is taking this in stride. I fear for her sanity.

Not sure it's a good idea to suck out poison if you don't know what it is. It could infect you from just touching to your skin, nevermind the inside of your mouth where it can absorb directly into your bloodstream.

If you recall early on, Goku was a sweetheart who would help out anybody he ran into if he thought they were in trouble. He destroyed the Red Ribbon Army because of all the pain and destruction they were causing, and eventually, to revive his friend's father who was killed by Tao. The first time the Dragon Balls were thought of and used to bring someone back to life, actually. Then he fights King Piccolo to stop him from taking over the world and get revenge for Krillin's death. Goku fought Raditz to rescue his son (who he first attempted to talk into leaving). Hell, the whole thing about him releasing Raditz tail was because Goku was so trusting and goodhearted, wanting to see the best in people. Goku turned Super Saiyan because of his emotional reaction to Frieza killing his best friend. Someone can't turn Super Saiyan without some sort of emotional breakthrough. So, it's definitely not true that Goku was always a sociopath who just fought for the sake of it and didn't care about anyone. So far, Goku doesn't seem that much different. He did everything he could to prevent Beerus from destroying the Earth. Like Raditz, he tried to talk his way into a solution first, before fighting him, and even then, his motivation for defeating Beerus is shown to be everyone he cares about. But, I would take anything Mochi says on this with a grain of salt. He's known for looking up spoilers and prejudging things, usually twisting them way out of what they actually mean and working himself into a frenzy so he can complain more. A prime example of this can be seen with Tokyo Ghoul. While he's right about that show not being very good, it's definitely not replete with the issues he was loudly complaining about, at least not yet. In other words, he looks for things he hates even when they aren't there, so he can make a big fuss over it. So, I'd wait until we see these developments ourselves in context before making these judgments.

Oh okay. That's who she is. Well, you have to admit the girl in the mobile armor was introduced out of nowhere and barely developed, yet we were supposed to feel sad when she died. That's been an issue with lots of characters in this show. They just get thrown in and then don't get very fleshed out.

Oh okay, I must have missed that post. Yeah she looks totally different now. And I still don't think I know who that is. Or much about her, at least.

I actually liked most if not all of the shows on the block for a long time. I'm only liking Dragonball and Jack right now, but I'm sure that will change at some point. As said, Samurai Jack, JoJo, and most of the other shows are getting a positive reception. There will always be someone who doesn't like a show but that doesn't mean you can act like everybody is a part of some Toonami fan blob entity that hates everything all the time. That's just lumping everyone together and looking for what you want to look for to have something to bitch about.

I actually liked it. It was a fun what-if series and I liked how it was more like the original Dragonball, with more comedy, adventure, and development of the "civilian characters" and world building. Not necessarily what I would've imagined a sequel to be but it good for what it was. Watch it before you judge it!
