Well yes but in a lot of cases you can't blame that on filler and fights would still go on for a while. In lots of other shows I could see them fighting each one of those guys off one by one and it taking them 2, 3, easily more episodes to get off that boat. Hell, at first I thought the teleporting guy was sending everyone off to have 1 v 1 fights, but we actually get to see some teamwork and combo moves. I didn't expect them to pull a strategy like that that took the enemies out all at once. But yeah it's a good thing the long-runner model has mostly been put to bed.

Goku only beat Frieza because he failed to finish him off, which lead to Frieza pulling a cheap shot (which should have blown himself up too now that I think about it), which lead to Goku pulling a cheap shot of his own with the help of Whis' power. No one beat Zamasu and they ended up pulling a literal deus ex machina to get rid of him. I dunno I think Vegeta has had plenty of great moments. Like in Zamasu Saga or whatever it's called, one-shotting Frost. As I mentioned before, he is responsible for Goku and Vegeta's progress. And at least in this show, Vegeta is on par with Goku. In Z he was always playing catch up, or when he was stronger than Goku, it was against a minor enemy, or he would do something idiotic like let Cell absorb 18.

I thought Avdol could still be alive inside the void because Cool Ice said even he didn't understand what was in there. But now that Cool Ice is dead I don't think there's any way to get in there, and the show seems to be moving on... my theory/hope was wrong I guess.
