Hmm well I can't remember how it would have originally gone. Hard to say. Not sure I ever saw a different version besides the Ocean dub? Orange Boxes hard to come by, and I wasn't interested in that shitty remaster. Wonder what version is on FuniNow. But, not going to re-watch DBZ yet again when I am already re-watching Kai on Toonami. Yep haha.

Once upon a time, Toonami used to be a "hit maker," introducing people to shows and either making them household names, or increasing the popularity of already somewhat popular series. Now, anime is fairly well known, and heavily consumed across various streaming services. I think we are long past the days I ask the guy in the Walmart electronics section where their Dragon Ball Z tapes are and he replies that he doesn't know what it is. (But, you couldn't get uncut ones there anyway. I went to Suncoast for those. ) I walked into a Walmart several weeks ago and there were TWO My Hero Academia posters, a Dragon Ball Super poster, Yuri on Ice poster, and one of that unholy Cyberdyne abomination Hatsune Miku. But, there's still lots of people that watched the old Toonami, that don't know there's a new version back on air, or never heard of Toonami in the first place. How the tables have turned. A while back, one of my friends visited, and questioned why I still watched Toonami when it wasn't very good anymore and most of the shows sucked. Thankfully that seems to have righted itself. He did ask me to change the channel when Hunter x Hunter was on, though. I told him it was by the same creator as Yu Yu Hakusho and he said that doesn't mean anything, and, well, he's right! Togashi was replaced by an evil alien clone a la Michael Jackson, I tells ya! Whoop, I went on a bit of a tangent, there!

I can't believe Goku has never been in the parade before, nor any Japanese manga character. Some Japanese videogame characters for sure. Sonic and Pikachu were always fixtures. Maybe some anime characters that didn't come from manga? Not sure.

Oh. You are right, though, Momo may not have known about Dark Shadow's weakness, like you said. And making something more complex like that would presumably take even more concentration for her to create.

I'm just happy to see 17 again. He's always been one of my favorite characters and I always wished he had appeared more. I never got the thing of him deciding to go live as a Mountain Man or whatever the hell.

We haven't all seen the OVAs. What's more, as Al said, the OVAs didn't air on Toonami. Yeah but not everyone is ranked where they should be, necessarily. Saitama is class B. And didn't they say "the strongest man in the world" was Class S Rank 4 or something? Also, the ranks don't go strictly just by power, but also accomplishments, reputation, and heroic deeds, from what I understand. I mean, why be all mysterious about Blizzard and hold off fully introducing her if she's so much weaker than Tornado?

OP edited AGAIN. The clip I linked was not the real Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze skit from Saturday Night Live, but some stupid remix someone made. There were several of those, and I had to get the real skit from Hulu via Yahoo. Yahoo... bleh. But, I was able to find the Mike Myers and Mike Nelson Riverdance parodies! I could have sworn there were other ones? Well, I can't remember them right now and search results haven't been friendly to me. But, I think that's good enough! I wonder how much dancing we'll see in tonight's episode.

Yes if the reason was a new show not being ready or something ending too soon and things not lining up right or whatever, they should have just doubled up on something for a week, like Sketch said. They've done it before. Doing this marathon randomly like this is just asinine!

Demarco picked up 2 actual good shows that he should have picked up. But, between these gut punch, momentum destroying, week wasting marathons, and bringing back Pop Team Epic... it's like it's 1 step forward and 2 steps back with him! @Daos You had nothing to worry about! Another bowling ball must have fell on Demarco's head and undid the Fred Flintstone style personality change improvement! FUUUUUUUUCK!

I think Bebop was already gone, not sure. Just felt like reveling in its banishment to the Shadow Realm. Pop Team Epic is probably replacing One-Punch Man? Bebop, back? I hope not. BLEH! NO!

I guess nuzzling up to the Bebop tapes in bed must be enough for him even without the security blanket of it constantly being on the block.
