    So is Mystic form incompatible with Super Saiyan since the former is a zen like state and Super Saiyan is emotion based? But... Gohan was acting like w cocky asshole in Mystic form, so maybe not? Anyway why doesn't GoHan use it again? Has his SS forms surpassed it? Gohan never had the heart of a true warrior. He's not a fighter. He's tenderhearted. A scholar, lover, not a fighter. Wow they remembered even more character stuff.

    Great art, animation and writing quality, along with characterization and personality accuracy here. They actually remembered that Piccolo used to enjoy fighting on its own merits before he was worried with just keeping everyone from dying and/or the Earth being destroyed, and possibly influenced by absorbing Kami. Gohan is struggling because of his emotions getting in the way, and stupidly slacked off again despite having someone to protect, as in the past.
