To be fair Naruto has the same issues, only with FAR weaker source material.

I actually said in a post on MAL in episode 1's thread back when it first aired I would have preferred a more "pure" sol cgdct show that starred Gabriel with her original, uncorrupted personality. As the weeks go by I find that opinion only growing stronger.

I'm actually really starting to feel "over" this show. After an episode where my favorite character is in the title too! I dunno, it feels more repetitive than even I can tolerate(and I tolerate a lot) and I just don't see things changing. I'd like this show so much more if best-girl Satania wasn't constantly forced to play the butt monkey for instance. Gabriel herself feels like Tomoko from Watamote without any of her sympathetic or likeable scenes. A user on MAL wrote a post I'm almost tempted to quote about it because of how much I agree with it, but whatever. Might lower my score before it's all said and done.

The Lists: MAL AniChart LiveChart Nearly six full weeks into the Winter anime season and...anybody ready for Spring? I am, at least anime-wise, because here's what I'm planning on watching: NEW: 1.) Alice to Zouroku - This looks adorable! Though it might turn out to be more serious than I'm expecting. 2.) Clockwork Planet - I've already read the source material for this one and it's...fine. I'm hoping to enjoy it more animated. 3.) Hinako Note - This one is DEFINITELY gonna be adorable. I'm expecting it to be a short series, but we'll see. 4.) My Hero Academia, Season 2 - Do I even need to say anything for my most highly anticipated series of the season? 5.) Renai Boukun - I actually read the first chapter or two of this long before the anime was announced. I dropped it though, primarily because it seemed to me like the mc was gonna inevitably fall for the cupid girl over his original yandere crush, which I didn't really wanna see. Will I be proven wrong? 6.) Sakura Quest - I'll definitely be interested in seeing how this turns out. It feels like it could be a mix of several different shows I enjoyed. Character designs certainly look good. 7.) Sakurada Reset - A school mystery show focusing on two girls with supernatural powers? Count me in! 8.) Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka? - Good God that title! This was a last-minute entry to my list, as the premise doesn't exactly thrill me. I've read good things about it though so...who knows? 9.) Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho - Finally, this premise sounds pretty interesting. So uhh...yeah. Let's see how it goes! ON-GOING: 1.) Dragon Ball Super - Classic, nuff said. 2.) One Piece - It's One Piece, it'll never end! So that's it. 11 shows excluding Toonami. Now there are several others I plan to watch, just not weekly. But yeah, definitely one of the shortest lists I've had in awhile, but intentionally so. Hopefully it'll help me catch up on Conan a bit. So that's it for me, what looks good y'all? JoJo In which JoJo and Caesar climb Korin Tower! And yes, Toriyama wrote that before this portion of the JoJo manga came out, about 24 months earlier in fact. Well I'll admit it, despite how repulsive I consider the JoJo manga's art to be Lisa Lisa is gorgeous. Maybe I've just gotten used to the anime's art style these past 4 months or something, I dunno. But Lisa Lisa, where are Bart Bart and Maggie Maggie? JoJo shoulda had a Bane voice with that mask on. Then again maybe not. Good thing they used a montage for 3 weeks of training from those two guys who fired Ichigo's crew out of a cannon in the Soul Society arc! Well, I guess Kubo borrowed them actually, but still! Gundam He clearly wears that mask to summon the moon...oh wait, that was a much cooler looking mask. Yes, yes, war is hell, and often waged in the name of God. Marida presenting the little girl to her mom legs first was adorable, I really like her. Ditto Misty girl, still wish she was the female lead. Hunter Well I'd heard some things before, but yup, Ging's a pretty awful father. Puts Goku to shame. Convenient though, eh Togashi? Having Gon not care about his mom so you don't hafta bother with her. Screw it, I STILL say she's the final boss. Greed Island? I bet Togashi woulda made it Dragon Quest if allowed. Killua's bro still livin' the dream I see. God that chicken looked good...no I'm not hungry why do you ask? Off to Yorknew City, I hope they visit Stateempire Building while there...
