Also I was surfing youtube just now and randomly came across a pretty well done fan animation of the first ending of the Kekkai Sensen anime with the Academia cast replacing the original. I found it kinda cringey but cute at the same time. Just be warned before you watch: there are some as of where the anime is right now manga-only characters included, plus the ending has a pretty key scene the anime definitely won't be covering this year. Though it's brief and you'd probably only recognize it in context of already knowing about it:

We've moving on with episode 26 this week, adapting chapter 45 and half of 46 to begin volume 6 of the original source manga. The Sports Festival may have ended, but its effects linger in the form of exposure. That's right, it's time for the students of Class 1-A to do some field study with professional heroes! But who will they get to have these internships with? Well mostly those who liked what they saw at the festival! But while the students are still deciding it's time at last to pick their hero names! With guest teacher Midnight on hand to judge, looking as lovely as ever. Some of the names chosen are appropriately cute, punny and goofy. While others are a bit...out there. Young Iida's ultimate decision to not take on the name of his fallen brother Ingenium seemed appropriately pained and solemn. While Young Midoriya's is...well...pure Deku. Wear it with pride! A fun time had by all...or some...to be sure, but what was perhaps not so fun? Well Iida's rather ominous behavior and attitude for one. Hope the boy is thinking clearly. But also...All Might's reaction to learning the identity of the one hero who specifically requested to take on Young Midoriya for his internship! What might this nervousness portend? Just who is the mysterious former teacher of All Might, Gran Torino? Wily badass!? Or senile old coot?

That tournament's up now through Sunday with the participation prizes out in early July. Just got my 3 matches needed to qualify out of the way, all 3 easy losses for me. Soma Season 3 this Fall. Wonder if it'll be 12 or 24 episodes. Either way after the imo lacklusterly produced brief second season I'm genuinely surprised this popped up out of nowhere. Just wish I could be more excited but I really haven't enjoyed the Azami Arc much in the manga and am still waiting for it to finally end.

Also we have a new opening and ending coming within the next couple episodes so...looking forward to that. One of my favorite characters in the series, Gran Torino, is also mentioned in the article. In the manga he made his debut shortly after the sports festival. So why am I mentioning him now? Because the anime actually already briefly introduced him back in episode 14(Season 2, Episode 1) so I don't really consider it a spoiler. Still, that's all I'll say for now.

42 hours in now. So I checked Serebii and there's an online competition this weekend opened to anyone where the prize for participating is 3 Mega Stones: Galladite, Gardevoirite, and Lopunnite. Now, I definitely want those so...yeah, I decided to play a little longer before switching games. I did the following post-game stuff: 1.) I got the Mega Key Stone and Alakazite. 2.) I caught all 4 Tapus. 3.) I received a Mudkip randomly via Wonder Trade, Ditto bred it 20+ times, and traded all of those via GTS to get one of every starter pokemon. All 7 generations. 4.) I began EV Training a few pokemon on Poke Pelago...though I literally just started that a few hours ago. 5.) I briefly played around the Battle Tree...I'm awful at it. But probably best of all I started trying out SOS Shiny Chaining earlier today. Now excluding the Red Gyarados I've only ever found 2 shiny pokemon in my 19 years of playing pokemon, only 2: A Shiny Tentacool while surfing randomly in Heart Gold, and a Shiny Chatot while shiny chaining in X, both now gone. Well, I'm happy to announce about an hour ago I found my third! A Shiny Growlithe! It was just my third attempt at SOS Chaining. According to Serebii it takes chaining 70 of the same pokemon to increase the likelihood of encountering a shiny. I must have got super lucky because just the 48th Growlithe in my chain was shiny! A female too, Lv. 7 with 4 perfect IVs. I know it won't usually be that easy but honestly it makes me wanna try and catch some more now.
