3-gatsu no Lion 23 - 44(END of Season 2)

My copy of the Academia Season 2 Part 2 LE I ordered on my birthday came in a couple days ago. Barring an LE release for something I really want getting announced in the early Fall that will very likely be my last anime purchase until around Christmas, if not later.

From what I understand it's the other stuff that's received more scrutiny. The Captain America tracing or whichever superhero it was. Either way I personally don't give a fuck. And while I think calling Akira Toriyama lazy in any way is pretty damn insane, I will admit he has been known to take advantage of shortcuts. Hell part of the reason for the Super Saiyan transformation was so he didn't have to ink the hair in. But when men like Togashi exist just...come the fuck on already.

Yup, fun fact the name/word Nana means 7 in Japanese, Toshinori Yagi (All Might's real name) has the kanji for 8 as a part of it, and one of the kanji in Izuku's name can also be read as "kyu" which means 9. I'm not sure if I was jumping the gun a bit mentioning that. I apologize if so I'm usually more careful about spoilers, but it's not a particularly huge one imo at least.

3D Kanojo: Real Girl 11

The search for Pablo's Collection in a rather nostalgia-tinged flashback episode to earlier times, when Lupin wore his legendary Red Jacket from Part II. After that serious arc it felt nice to wind down with something simpler. With some nice lecherous Lupin antics with Fujiko, and charismatic battle team-ups with Jigen and Goemon. Definitely a very comfy episode, with very strong character chemistry between our main 4. Possibly my favorite episode of Part V so far honestly. Only thing missing was Zenigata, who has now been absent for 5 straight episodes. He did do the end preview narration at least, so maybe he'll appear in what looks to be another Red Jacket one-off episode next week. And with anime cosplayers and Goemon apparently meeting a girl this should be fun.

Welp, I'm sick as a dog with what I think is the stomach flu, but the show must go on! It's episode 48 this week, "Symbol of Peace" adapting the rest of Chapter 89 to finish off Volume 10 of the original source manga, as well as Chapters 90 and 91 to begin Volume 11. All For One has made his move at last, leaving massive destruction in his wake. With only All Might, the titular Symbol of Peace, capable of stopping him...maybe. The hero alliance was so close, but Bakugo remains captured...but not for long! Yes, in what was truly a brilliant team move the students of 1-A, especially Kirishima, who knew?, came up big in grabbing Bakugo. With some very nice assists from the criminally underused Mt. Lady, and my fave, Gran Torino, to ensure their escape. And not a moment too soon. Even with Gran Torino for backup(watch that punch from All Might!) this fight is insane! Easily the most impressive feats of strength the series has offered to this point. And if things couldn't get any crazier, it's time to reveal a hidden truth about the past. About Gran Torino's old friend and All Might's teacher, the 7th User of One For All, Nana Shimura! Also, as I mentioned a couple weeks back Horikoshi is a big Star Wars fan. And yeah, All For One's mask here was clearly meant to echo Darth Vader.
