  1. At the same time though Naruto was pretty much this
  2. Bebop has them visit another world every episode. Trigun was about the descendants of earth all living on a garbage planet.
  3. Wait so they get showed based on how good the op is; that they're going to butcher for time anyway? Then we should have had overlord and konosuba by now, they have great op songs! Also I guess we can say that Inuyasha is an isekai. DBZ might also count because technically Goku was transported to another world. Same I guess can be said about cowboy bebop and Trigun. So really they must love isekai. Though really it does seem like there is some sort of bias against it even if they don't outright hate it.
  4. Black clovers last dubbed episode was 123 which was a recap ep. I don't know how far Demon Slayer is since the dub for that is only updated after Toonami shows the new episode, but there are only 4 episodes left for the season I believe. Food Wars is all dubbed I believe, but I also don't know if Sentai has taken time off. Right now feels like it would be a good time for Sentai to try and fill the void Funimation left to promote their streaming service. MHA is up to episode 83 dub.
  5. They probably just want the break. A couple of years ago when I was talking with Monica about simuldubs she just said it's nothing but stress, and is she could go back in time she would have slapped herself for complaining about the old work deadlines being hectic when it would take them 3 months to get a dub out. Also a lot of the VA's have young kids now who are now at home with them instead of at school.
  6. Binge watching it though is like pulling teeth. Especially the early seasons where it feels like fucking nothing is happening. Then like any danger that did arise it was either too underwhelming or the adults would just step in and solve the problem. Like Root 2.0 that really went nowhere and the girl who "isn't" knock off Hinata hasn't done jack shit since. The legendary 7 jobbers of the mist arc were very underwhelming; and Sarada blocks a damn legendary sword with a normal Kunai. The new Chunin exams are a joke compared to the blood sport they used to be, Everything about the find Mitsuki arc was cringe and just gave everyone sauske flashbacks. The only cool part was that Boruto was offered to learn Snake Sage Mode and had a Snake summon for a short time. The School Shooter Uchiha attack of the clones arc was horrible and they just dropped them all off with Kabuto. The hotsprings arc was padded to hell except for the fanservice because the guy Kishi put in charge is a lolicon and doesn't like breasts which is why Hinata had her tits cut off. Jugo's arc and the Konohamaru laid arc were both terrible. I actually liked the episodes with Shukaku. Then the time travel arc was just so repetitive, and they didn't even do anything really interesting with it. I mean the number of episodes that have been out are the same as the first 4 seasons of naruto and it feels like next to nothing has happened in the series. At this point in the original Naruto we already had an ass ton of iconic arcs and battles. Zabuza and Haku, The forest of Death, Neji vs Hinata, Gaara vs Lee, the leaf invasion, Orochimaru vs Sarutobi, Naruto vs Neji, Naruto vs Gaara, Kimimaro vs lee and gaara, Sauske retrieval, sound 4, Tsunade and Jiraiya vs Orochimaru, Naruto vs Sauske, Itachi and Kisame etc.
  7. Fuck I watched the whole series at the time years back in 09 from the first episode to whatever the current episode in Amazon lilly was which was over 400 episodes. I think I did it in around 3 weeks. I was doing like an average of 20 episodes a day.
  8. Bleach and Inuyasha used to get binged a lot. I don't think it really hurt the show at all. I remember back when they'd have them on every night of the week, then saturday they'd show last weeks episode and the new episode, sometimes two new episodes. Though right now the only show I'd say they should even try to dump multiple episodes of a night is Naruto. One episode a week will take for fucking ever. That's over 4 years at the point the show is at. Even 2 eps a night would help a lot and it would still take years. Boruto though I would not binge that "again". I watched the first 60 episodes in 2 days back when they were only that far in, and it was just fucking painful in how badly that show is written. Everyone said that it isn't as bad if you just watch it weekly. Which I think says something about the Boruto fanbase in that they acknowledge it sucks but still watch it anyway.
  9. Unless you're over 60 or have lung issues/immune compromised you aren't in any more danger than had you caught a normal flu. The worry is younger people getting sick and spreading it to groups who it could kill. Based on things like Spanish Flu and Swine Flu the curve drops off after 8-10 weeks of social distancing. Right now we're into week 3 or 4. We can also see this In china as they had an 8 week quarantine and are now lifting many of their restrictions. The virus isn't cured yet, but people are going to be returning to work either way. I think you're really over reacting with the we're doomed thing. Spanish Flu killed over 50 million people. If Corona started killing 27k people a day as opposed to it taking months to reach that number, for a full year it wouldn't even be at 10 million. If it could manage that for 5 years straight it would kill 49 million people. The population of the earth is 7.5 billion. It would take 761 years at 27k people dying a day for humanity to be wiped off the planet by this virus. So we aren't doomed or even close to it.
  10. That doesn't look bad, pretty much just confirming what we already knew when funimation posted their update.

  12. She likes Carrots, but as of yet we haven't gotten to see if she has an instinct to breed. Oddly though she dislikes teams and teamwork and prefers people who work alone. So she probably wouldn't get along with the pussy cats.
  13. It's an anime block, really not the end of the world if it gets a few marathons. I remember back when people used to be psyched for marathons. "Oh hell yeah an flcl/inuyasha movie/bleach marathon this will be fun". Now news of a marathon is like being told both Pearl Harbor and 9/11 just happened. I'd like some better shows than Kai to get marathon at least since Kai has been done to death. As for the quarantine, it's not going to last that long. It's going to end far before we have a cure.
  14. I'm patient when it comes to stocks. I actually had to explain to my brothers gf's friends that they aren't ruined, so long as they hold onto their stocks and wait for the market to rebound and not to sell until it does. People who panic sell never make sense to me, just hold onto your stock. I'd rather have a worthless stock in the hopes that it will rebound in the future than sell it for next to nothing. It's like those people who's money burns a hole in their pocket. Usually my strategy is to look at a 5 year trend find the average and assume that in time the stock will hit that or exceed it. I usually try to go in at a point where I'd get 300% or more back on investment. If the Caesar's stock does really well and goes back to it's high I'd make 500% but I'd more than like sell out before that unless it was an abrupt spike. My tesla stock though is more hoping that Elon doesn't drop dead, and that they continue their advancements in battery technology. Electric cars are going to be more and more common; but the battery that powers them is going to be more important than the car itself. The thing is that Tesla is so far ahead of the other car manufactures in battery technology that they are actually buying Tesla made batteries to power their own smart cars. So I do foresee that getting big in time. However it's a risk in that I don't think Tesla will have the same staying power behind it without Elon as apple did without Steve. I think that is an advantage that Apple did have in that it was known to the public that Steve was more of the show and tell pitch man of the group. Though the ones like Wozniak were the real brains when it came to the products. However looks like a bridge troll while Steve had the tech hipster look. One appealed more to the public on selling sleek new tech. With tesla though it's pretty much all elon. He has a think tank, but everything has pretty much been his project; so it's a risky investment. Though at the same time that is why you buy when the market is down.
  15. G Gundam was the only good Gundam.
  16. I hope so, I only buy when the markets down.
  17. The way you're talking is that they're at home taking their last breaths waiting for the night to take them.
  18. It would be fine if they didn't waste money on pet projects. Like oh Junji Ito really didn't translate well into animation last year. I know lets fund another based on his Uzumaki series, that will work! No that's a horrible idea; other than being complete hipsters I don't know why they'd fund this. With how hands-off Toonami was with FLCL I doubt they'd be able to have someone overseeing this to make sure that it isn't a repeat failure. That being said the money used for this could have been used to gain some shows like Konosuba or Overlord. I do get the feeling though that the toonami staff aren't isekai fans or they'd have already gotten to these obvious ones. It's kinda weird as well with Crunchy. They for whatever reason treated Konosuba like a redheaded stepchild for years. The series was popular but they never advertised it. A dub for season 1 came out years after the fact, and season 2 just got a dub this month and the season ended in 2017. It was weird because every other country had a dub for a while now. They only jumped on that because isekai quartet got big. Either way really seems like it's more of a personal preference issue with the staff as to why aside from SAO, pretty much a whole sub-genre of anime got ignored. Like if overlord was just a show about a demon skeleton and not a guy playing a game who's soul was transported with his avatar to that world. I nearly guarantee it would have already been aired on toonami. Attack on Titan probably never would have gotten shown if Eren were just sent into that world from our world.
  19. The girl that was singing
  20. The hell did you invest in? My stocks are up like 200%. Except my Tesla stock that's only up like 70%. I expect Ceases casino stock to keep going up though I got that for like $3.50 a share and it's over $7 a share now. I expect it to reach around $11-$14 by June when I'll sell it. Boeing is doing well I got that for $95 and it's almost doubled it's worth at $180, but am going to wait for it to get to about $350 before selling.
  21. I kinda hope they don't add it back as a reg show. I've seen Kai so many times already. It would be nice if they could pick up some of the isekai quartet series in the future Overlord, Re-zero, Tanya, Konosuba. Konosuba and Overlord would probably do well. Re-zero I think takes too much patience to watch because of the groundhog day element of it. Tanya probably wouldn't air just because social media would see the uniforms and think nazi's. Pretty much like how Tanya cosplay and Merch are pretty much banned at all anime cons in america.
  22. All he said is that they're "working from home it's a drag, I miss my co-workers". I don't know where you're picking up this end is nigh tone from.
  23. Looks like they dropped the ball on the dancing part of the animation. I guess the downside of having such a large cast to focus on. Any other series there wouldn't be more than 3-5 people on stage and maybe only a couple of them would really get any focus. As for the series; this is more of a slice of life wined-down arc. It's to help avoid power creep, but there are a lot of people who don't care for this arc. While I do like this series I'll admit that there are some elements that have made it difficult to enjoy at times. Namely the MC being a big crybaby bitch to a point that it should be labeled as a super power. Really though I think they could have had more school slice of life stuff going on. Season 1 and this arc about all the group interactions and school stuff we really get. We had one class where they had to do that thing with the bomb, after that every lesson they have is here's a gym work on your quirks. Feels like there was a lot that could have been done with the idea of a school full of heroes and they neglect the potential for it. Not to mention most of the teachers suck at their jobs. I think Midnight taught Mina about using her acid once, after that everyone just learned from their on job internships.
  24. I don't think it's that level gloom and doom. More than likely they have to have some buffer in till funimation starts dubbing again.
  25. My local store was fully stocked today aside from one aisle. Though last week I did run out of flour and it was a pain to find, only place that had any was the dollar store, as shop n save, walmart, and giant eagle were out.
