I did for a day or two and then my parents told me they were kidding. We were in Alabama in some diner and they had a pic of the Brooklyn Bridge on the wall. The waitress knew right away we were from NY and asked us, “Have y’all ever seen that bridge?” in college I was told by an Australian student that she loved my accent.
