because it's never happened before....i don't think funimation's dubbing fire force S2 in secrecy and saving the rest of the season for toonami this is all starting to sound like weird conspiracy theories to avoid the harsh reality that black clover's gonna take a long break from the block probably and that fire force S2 will barely be on the block before it has to be removed temporarily

toonami should realize this could turn into another MHA S4 situation.....i don't know if they really had no choice but it does seem odd that funimation won't even cut them a deal for something from the backlog because having no black clover for a long time and potentially very few Fire Force S2 episodes puts the block in a very bad spot

I think fooly cooly is the most likely replacement at this point...I Know Owlchemist has been swearing up and down lately that SAO World Of Underworld Part II will replace black clover but that's just not very likely

I Just don't see anything except fooly cooly or bebop replacing black clover when it runs out of episodes

apparently at some point Mob Psycho S2 was mentioned and he said there's some strange legal issues involved with the show that prevent them from ever airing it no matter how hard they push for the show's inclusion on the block another one was blaming him for black clover sitting behind reruns to which he responded "you can blame the programming department for that decision but I'll take some of the blame too"

i don't have much confidence in funimation dubbing enough episodes by the time october rolls around

they should but they probably won't

there's just 2 episodes left of black clover's dub before it runs out and i haven't heard any word on SAO's dub currently they'd need to be faster than funimation to make shoving it in as BC's replacement not seem like a stupid idea

it feels like it's seen by demarco and crew as no better than some throw-away rerun tossed awkwardly onto the block

it really does seem like crunchyroll just wants to use toonami to promote it's stuff on air while at the same time refusing to hand over any shows this partnership only benefits crunchyroll

yeah it's gonna be awkward seeing jojo as the only fresh show until october

this tells me two things 1.toonami really couldn't wait around for funimation to dub more episodes of S2 before announcing this 2.We're probably getting a db super labor day marathon on september 5th(that one week delay means The Reruns of Fire Force will end just in time for S2 to replace it)

Reruns Of Fire Force S1 will replace mob psycho starting with episode 15

pretty much he stated that it had to do with big wigs seeing something fail and then refusing to green light anything that reminds them of that failure so let's say A movie about Ninja's flopped hard...they would reject anything to do with ninja's just because of that failed ninja movie

I Really Doubt SAO: A WOU II's dub will be finished by the time black clover runs out of episodes

i think they are saving one of those to fill in for black clover once it runs out of dubbed episodes soon funimation just can't dub episodes fast enough to keep themselves ahead of toonami and it's also why something like fire force S2 looks very unlikely this year

ya know what's odd last night during toonami i posted "Save Us Giorno" on the toonami sub-reddit

I See some online who do accept those actions and take it to mean "Covid-19 has just been hard on toonami and they have to be more patient" Honestly jason Demarco has handled this very poorly and continues to handle it poorly i just can't understand why anyone would defend him anymore they should understand toonami can't just rely on reruns for the rest of the year

since black clover only has 2 more dubbed episodes left moving it's time slot up wouldn't make much sense i really wish they had given us any kind of announcement on what's replacing paranoia agent and mob psycho because the more i think about this the more i wonder if the plan really is just to rely on reruns until 2021 they can't honestly expect people to tune in simply out of some misguided sense of loyalty there has to be something that makes the fans want to watch toonami otherwise it's just a bunch of people staying up late for shows they've already seen before and i don't know how many people will be willing to lose sleep just for a bunch of reruns
