BCBS wouldn't cover it with an HMO, unless I went to one my GP recommended, which had to be one in their group, 20 mi away. However with their PPO, I get to go to my Chiropractor and there's no copay. It's goofy.

Trust me, if it had been closer to the real worth of the instrument and I had been interested in buying it, I'd have read up on what to look for before forking over the money.

Last time I was in a pawn shop (~40 yrs ago), I spotted a Fender Strat. Took a look at it & it was priced at $275. I figured it was a Strat neck attached to a knock-off body, and moved on.
