the subtitles from last week's airing of this ep seem to be the dubtitles from last year's anchor bay release of the series. exact same dialogue.

Back in January on the adult swim streams show Development Meeting they showed an animatic from the new Scavengers short. It had dialogue too.

if boruto was going to air then it would probably be the same as super/kai and it will air alongside shippuden. shippuden is 500 episodes and the next popular show logically suited to move to the first slot when super is done, or second if boruto is first.

i can see that. would require them to lose the slot for only a few weeks then.

i don't believe there's anything they can air after super aside from shippuden as a lead in to flcl, so maybe they plan on removing 10:30 june 30th. we did lose 11 for 3 weeks last year so not unbelievable. could easily get 10:30 back in december.

should also be happening with the new flcl seasons at 11:30

Adult Swim can air TV-MA stuff at 9 pm (FLCL isn't) and FLCL could air at 8 if they wanted to.

black clover is not a worthy lead in for flcl though. i don't expect it to take kai's slot. shippuden would be best. and kai is 100% memorial day's marathon. hopefully the schedule updates in an hour and a half. bebop could rerun or flcl could rerun later (same episode but rerun later in the night too) or they could double on space dandy or 2nd gig because 2nd gig's end date doesn't matter anymore.

is there a more likely candidate for first slot after super ends though? i'm not sure there is.

shippuden is likely to take super's spot as the first show when it ends late next year and it could be good to have it back earlier in the night in anticipation for that. it's certainly the only thing i can think of deserving to air in between super and new flcl when kai ends.

the only issue with airing flcl twice is that i assume they'd also be giving it a weekly run right after. they might not care about airing it 3 times though, 4 if they double it up weekly and run it twice. this would work best if they did run bebop 1 and 2 on the 7th. may possibly be the normal lineup but they fuck with the shows like in previous years, making them have to run the lineup normally the following week. maybe not though if it's something that's been planned for a while. (yes, all the premieres would anyway, but specifically including double bebop, although that might not really matter. it would make things easier though.) whatever it is must preempt 2nd gig because that's the show that makes flcl fit on june 2nd and there would otherwise be a free 3:30 slot the week before memorial day (which should be the last kai marathon and not a flcl marathon). so because this has to go until at least 4 am, it could be more than one thing. i'm down for the room airing again. i'm a fan of the movie, but it's also related to the 2012 april fools' event. could be some tokusatsu thing. could be something with subtitles. could be none of these things. six years of hype, hoping it lives up to it.
