Finished the last two books I mentioned and finished The Adventures of Tom Sawyer yesterday. Started World War Z today.

The time I checked out The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

I don't remember much about the book. I do remember the movie and the Lion's "sacrifice" though. Yes, that bothers me more than it should. -
Back in elementary school, I was required to check out a AR book to read and there was one specific section in the library for AR reading. It just so happens that on that day, I had horrific gas. My plan was to get in and out before I had an involuntary flatulence evacuation. I briefly looked around but I was quickly running out of time. I picked a random book but it was too late. Gas of the silent but deadly variety freed itself from my digestive tract. Nobody was around me at that moment so I rush to the checkout before anybody walked into the crime scene. As I was checking out, two kids walked into the AR section. Busted. I looked over just in time to see them turn around. They were looking at me; their faces displaying disgust and contempt. They knew. I'm sure that they never forgot about it and seek revenge to this day.

I finished Robinson Crusoe(there are two sequels, btw) a while ago and have read Fahrenheit 451...for the most part. Only half the book was the actual story and the rest is about/commentary. I've also been reading "And Another Thing" but mostly when I'm charging my car. A bit of a side rant, Daniel Defoe's sentences are too fucking long.

Robinson Crusoe. I only know of it from Gilligan's Island.

Finished the last two books. Now reading Treasure Island at work and I'm going to start reading The Invisible Man at home.

Starting The Picture of Dorian Gray tomorrow.

Finished Frankenstein and now I'm reading "The Ruum" apparently as it's included in the book. Edit: Well that was short. Anne Frank: The Diary of Young Girl is next.

It's like I just went back 20 years.

Reading Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein' at home and 'How to stand up to a dictator' by Maria Ressa at work. It's a shame how campy and silly Frankenstein became. A good deal of injustice has been done to the book.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man. I didn't know it could be worse than the Hellboy before it. It was basically a shitty horror movie with Hellboy in it. The movie looked cheap. The scene transitions were bad and the editing in general was horrible The CG was early 2000's quality and Hellboy's suit looked rubbery. The sound design had little variation and was basic scary movie sounds. The exposition was poorly disguised and one of the characters was basically talking to the camera. The plot was...unclear I guess. I'm still not sure exactly what was happening and why it was happening. /10

Now that it's over, I think it's the most well done series so far. Particularly with animation. It's far above any other DB series. The action is also well done. The choreography and the "camera" work had a lot more thought put into it. There were a couple of eye rolling 'memberberries but a few more subtle ones that were nice. There was quite a bit of setup and payoff as well as a divergence of expectations. The series did a bit to try to mend lore inconsistency throughout the DB universe but they really raised one huge question regarding a certain form. Overall, I liked the series and I would like to see a season 2.

I worked retail for 14 years. A friend of mine was telling me what his current job was(basically refurbishing electric motors for wind turbines) and I expressed interest. He tells me that there are openings so I eventually applied and got the job. Most places will train you so don't be afraid if you don't have a skill set as long as you're capable of learning. Now for my unrelated gripe that I came here to post...20-30 minute long informative Youtube videos could could be summed up in 5 minutes or less. Ain't nobody got time for that.

The Handmaid's Tale at work and No Longer Human at home.

That's printers for ya. I'd be looking at the print head as they can get clogged.

The foldable plastic forks that come in ramen are too small and will fall in the cup every single time.
