Outside forces constantly change the individual...that’s why we not only physically, but are mentally different...it’s all depends on how you let it affect you. The best option is to look at yourself objectively and decide what attributes you like having vs the bad. You can like how you are and work on things you recognize are your faults. And when there are people who don’t like you at the worst of times then they aren’t worth your time when you’re at your best. It’s times like these where you find people who are truly there for you and are loyal. Personally when dealing with ridicule, it’s all in perception. Yes you may be mocked for some attribute, but only you can choose to feel it. If you don’t care what people think of you who aren’t in your inner circle then fuck em...let them say what they will. Know who you are, love what you are. And no one should ever have the power over you to take that away.
