I have HD edition, but I've admittedly only played it a couple times. My first game in the series was Age of Mythology and I found it too hard to go backwards and lose a lot of QOL stuff. I play a shit ton of Age of Empires 4 though. Mostly poorly though.

I don't really remember for me, was the middle of three and then there was a divorce and later on a bonus kid. But there is a dramatic toddler here who has been waking up in the middle of the night and sobs "daddy? daddy where are you? daddy I need you where are you?" Never a cry for mommy.

There are two rank systems. The one we traditionally think of as ranks with the colors is actually "member groups" and the one you're speaking about is the actual "rank" system. It's what luuv set up on the previous software that kinda of laid dormant when we first upgraded to IPB several years back. Haven't figured out what to do with it yet.
