I can't play videogames or read more than like one page of a book without getting sick on planes, cars, buses or trains. I can watch movies but I'd rather listen to music. So thats basically all I do when I travel. Just music, txt, talk, ppl watch other passengers, sleep, or look out the window. I love to stare out the window on planes and just listen to music. Looking at the world from up there and the cloud formations is one of the few things I miss about flying. I always bitch about how annoying flying is bc you're so confined to a small space and it's so hard to get comfortable, but flying less w/covid has me missing it. I miss more than the view too. I miss the airport, the energy, seeing/meeting so many random ppl who could be from fuckin anywhere not just the city you're in. Just all that... And I actully love feeling the acceleration during takeoff I couldn't imagine hating that part And Norton is so fun. I was never scared to fly even when I was little. And now I'm so used to it. Like I don't even wanna think about how many flights I've taken. Like.. I hung out w/Norton at least a dozen times. So just counting hanging out w/Jim. I'd go from Lansing to Detroit to NYC and back. That's 4 takeoffs/landings each trip. So about 50 takeoffs/landings just from my friendship w/Jim. I wouldn't be surprised if I've taken off/landed over 500 times. Less than 1000 tho. I haven't driven a car in like 8 years. So not even thinking about scenes, vacations, and getting flown out for sex. If the bus/train to a place I want to go is more than 4 hours, I'm likely to fly. Sometimes I'll fly even if bus/train isn't that long but the flight is cheap bc of the date or how far in advance I'm planning the trip. I wish I kept track but I only started doing frequent flyer programs 2 years ago. Dumb I know... This one business traveler type dude I had a convo w/about flying frequently and the fear... he said something like "at first you're scared of flying, then you get used to it, and then if you keep flying regularly all the time for work, you start to get scared again bc you wonder if you're flying enough to hit those odds... "

I hope they put a note in my passenger file about it. They seem to have treated me normally on every delta flight I've had since that one but when I remember to I try and notice if they treat me any differently on delta like if they know I'm problematic

This next one I watched to be contrarian since the last one was about the deepest life in the ocean. This one is all about the highest aquatic life on the planet. Did you know the highest lake in the world is 20,965 feet above sea level? A lot of the lakes covered here are over 7,500 feet above sea level. This doc is somewhat amphibious since there is some coverage of land creatures. Some of which interact with the water like this songbird which is the only one of its kind to dive underwater to catch its prey. Like a seagull. There's a lot of fish and amphibian sex in this one. Highlights include a marmot fight, a poisonous blood lake, a really pretty castle, and the proteus which is the trippiest little creature because it's like an eel w/tiny little arms and legs. I watched this one yesterday night. It's amazing. Did you know that the shrimpy things at the very lowest depths of the sea eat mainly sunken driftwood? Well they do and it's bc deep sea food chains foundation is basically scraps and bits of dead fishes that sink down from upper levels. There's no sun below 1000 meters so their food chains can't be supported by phytoplankton. And at the very very bottom, most of the scraps have already been eaten. But wood is very difficult to digest so the organisms don't eat it and it makes it all the way to the lowest depths where it supports the entire foodchain below 10,000 meters. They're specially adapted to digest it since it's like the only thing that makes it. That is amazing to me. Like the creatures at the very bottomest of the sea eat trees. 10,000 meters down and they eat something that grows on land.
