  1. Cinderella Boy 6 Best episode so far. You gotta love some of that early digipaint-era action with added intrigue set to a jazz-rock soundtrack.
  2. This thread is neither the time nor the place for general COVID news, Elfie.
  3. I'm sure it's experienced temporary delays from the typical week-to-week format, but nothing akin to a month-plus break like we've been getting with more of the recent shounens.
  4. For the second time this thread, that's Yuuki's arc you're thinking of. Not Yui's.
  5. Another voice actor on the Japanese side has recently shed their mortal coil. Not as a result of COVID-19, but of cancer. And even more unfortunately, the seiyuu I speak of today is Keiji Fujiwara, a prolific and recognizable seiyuu who has appeared in many anime, at least one of which all of you have watched. Here's a rundown of all his [as]/Toonami roles, since this is what this board is best known for: That tattooed weapons shop owner from episode 2 (Cowboy Bebop) Maes Hughes (FMA 2003 & Brotherhood) Shunsuke Makabe (Paranoia Agent; yakuza dealer from Hirukawa's episode) Rod (GITS:SAC 2nd Gig; one of the army guys from Saito's backstory) Holland Novak (Eureka seveN; he also played aged-up Renton in AO and Dewey in the second Hi-Evolution movie) Hiro Nohara (Shin Chan) Isaac Fernand von Kampfer (Trinity Blood) Nathan Mahler (BLOOD+) Shuichi Aizawa (Death Note) Karna Yonsa (Moribito; Balsa's father, IIRC) Kinnosuke Kuzuhara (Durarara!!) Raiga Kurosuke (Naruto; main villain from the Curry of Life arc) Yamma (IGPX) Shiro Fujimoto and Satan (Blue Exorcist) Hannes (Attack on Titan season 1) Lucio Damao (Michiko & Hatchin; circus announcer in eps 9 and 11) Leorio Paradiknight (Hunter x Hunter) Esidisi (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) Biker Ghost (Mob Psycho 100) Byakuya Ishigami (Dr. Stone) Other prominent roles in popular anime include Ladd Russo (Baccano!), Zenzo Hattori (Gintama), Ali al-Saachez (Gundam 00), Eugen (Granblue Fantasy), Shingo Shouji (Initial D), Tatsuya Kimura (Hajime no Ippo), Village Chief (Arakawa Under the Bridge), Keisei Tagami (Corpse Princess), and the narrator of Sgt. Frog. He also voiced Axel in the Kingdom Hearts games, and Iron Man in the Japanese MCU dubs (plus the Iron Man anime and Rise of Technovore OVA). It truly is a terrible day for rain.
  6. Truly the greatest consequence of its return. At least we'll get it for the premiere run. Wait, does FUNi even know that the show title's appearance in the opening credits is ridiculously easy to miss?
  7. FUN FACT: Excel's English VA fucked up her voice so bad during recording they had to switch her out for another for the second half.
  8. And some of you act surprised when we give him shit for doing things.
  9. Comparing Paranoia Agent to vegetables isn't too inaccurate. It's good, but it won't have as many takers in their audience as the Double Baconator that's DBZ reruns, or even the casual junk food that's our current offerings. And then there's stuff like Tenchi Muyo! GXP, which is just a tub of trans fat. Like, the actual trans fat itself.
  10. On one hand, disappointment that we're not getting Food Wars S3 (at least, not right away). On the other... let's just say my joy at seeing the show [as] was saddled with in order to air Champloo (no thanks to G4 picking up Gungrave while they were busy with a boards poll) being reaired out of their own volition this time has filled me with enough misguided excitement for eight people.
  11. AWOL: Absent WithOut Leave 4 A.K.A. "You son of a bitch, I'm in": The Episode
  12. Fixed. It technically isn't rape unless there's penetration. Even the one they cut down for the Toonami broadcast was molestation at worst. And I'm not even gonna get into how inaccurate that numerical measure is.
  13. Appare-Ranman! 1 (rewatch) My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! 2 Gleipnir 2
  14. Also this. As if the infamous masturbation scene wasn't traumatizing enough.
  15. Normally I'd complain about your continued dwelling on the negative industry impacts, but instead, I'll point out that it's interesting that the deciding factor in whether or not an anime gets completed on time is the cinematography staff.
  16. Run with the Wind 20
  17. Durarara, definitely Durarara.
  18. Personally, I feel for the poor souls who'll have to put up with Dallas Reid's screaming when Black Clover follows MHA's suit with this whole home-recording thing.
  19. P is for Priceless, the look upon your faces E is for Extinction, all your puny races R is for Revolution, which will be televised F is for how Fucked you are, now allow me to reprise E is for Eccentric, just listen to my song C is for Completion, that I've waited for so long T is for the Terror upon you I'll bestow My name is Perfect Cell, and I'd like to say... 11:30 - Dragon Ball Z Kai #78 - Cell on the Verge of Defeat! 20. Your response fits Gunners' reply better than mine. Of course it's too soon, I was asking if it was cutting it even deeper just by mentioning Toonami/insinuating that it's on a decline.
  21. "Interest in Toonami Since Revival". Or is that cutting it too close?
  22. Y'know, ignoring the fact that that specific episode originally premiered on the block at 2 in the friggin' morning...
