  1. Count me in with the rest of the Ass Class 2 party. I'm still frustrated they didn't just go straight into it after season 1 finished - pre-emptively logged it on my rating schedule and everything, too - and Demarco did say they'd get around to airing the second half, so really, they have no excuse but lack of remaining budget if they fail to bring it to us by the end of this year.
  2. Late Sunday night, actually, during the 11PM hour. So yes, you're correct, just way off in regards to specific timing.
  3. Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut 2
  4. Bryce Papenbrook getting a supporting role AND a triple S-bomb? You don't get more finale-worthy than that! Out of all the anime I've seen, I'd argue to say, personally, that Black Clover had the weakest start but the strongest finish, in direct relation to one another. I can't put this series higher than an 8/10 on my horribly skewed scoring scale, but based on a more fair and balanced metric, I'd say it's deserving of a 7. I definitely plan on seeing that movie, and returning to the series once the rest of the manga gets adapted for television.
  5. Eh, never had the opportunity to get into it as a kid. As far as Nick Jr. shows go, I'm more of a Blues Clues guy. Believe me, I'm trying. Ah, Free-for-All is fine too.
  6. LAST TIME ON MY VILLAIN ACADEMIA I have zero interest in ever watching Phineas and Ferb, and yet I keep rewatching this video on impulse.
  7. Salaryman Kintaro 1
  8. I wouldn't put that much faith in Boruto coming back after Kim Manning's comments about it skewing too young, let alone Stone Ocean making the block with its Netflix Original status. Here's to hoping Ass Class and Lupin Part 6 show up, though.
  9. Thanks, man. Much appreciated.
  10. I had a cold and fever that wouldn't go away all this week, and according to the swab test I got yesterday, it came back positive for COVID. Not the birthday week I was expecting myself to have last Saturday.
  11. You know what's worse than two Black Clovers in one night? Having to wake up on your birthday to a phone call telling you the COVID test you took the previous day came back positive. 12:00 - Fena: Pirate Princess #10 - The Curtain Rises on the Climax - TV-PGLV 12:30 - My Hero Academia #111 - Tenko Shimura: Origin - TV-14V 1:00 - Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon #15 - Farewell Under the Lunar Eclipse - TV-14V 1:30 - Food Wars! The Fourth Plate #8 - Your Best Side - TV-MAS 2:00 - Black Clover #169 - The Devil-Binding Ritual - TV-14LV 2:30 - Black Clover #170 - The Faraway Future - TV-14LV 3:00 - Dr Stone: Stone Wars #6 - Prison Break - TV-14LV 3:30 - Dragon Ball Super #30 - A Run-Through for the Competition! Who Are the Last Two Members!? - TV-14L This October really isn't going the way I want it to.
  12. Unfortunate and legally suspect, yeah, but as far as I'm concerned, that just means the news is getting here faster.
  13. As nice as one would've been, I don't think a double-up finale promo is an absolute necessity. The only series I can recall that got a promo when the last two episodes aired the same day was IGPX, and even then that was sort of important because the finale never aired on Toonami proper until the 2013 rebroadcast.
  14. And Yet the Town Moves 4
  15. Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut 1 Life Lessons with Uramichi-Oniisan 5 (dubbed)
  16. Eh, needs more squares. Upon actually watching the episode, while I found the ANN guy's complaints about Towa unfairly comparing being yandere about a girl you kidnapped to be your bride to smartphone addiction somewhat sensible, ignoring the important plot revelations in favor of continuing to screech about the damn smartphone was clearly him trying to fill some sort of quota.
  17. You should, seasonal anime content rating look-sees are fun stuff. Though you might want to avoid the two series I'll announce at the end after this quick update I'm doing primarily to justify it. Life Lessons with Uramichi-Oniisan #13: Together with Maman Forever (TV-14D) Kanon 2006 #14: A Cracked Concerto (TV-PGLV) Magic Knight Rayearth #9: The Magic Knights' Greatest Crisis (TV-PG) And now for some various announcements, a.k.a. the reason I'm posting this so early and so short. First off, regarding seasonal selections, I plan on watching two anime this season on my own time. Of those two, the important one is the show replacing Uramichi as the fifth subject of the Content Rating Clips, Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut. (I am so glad FUNimation chose that title, now I can refer to it as the "vampire cosmonaut" anime without fearing others might think I don't know the title of the show!) It was between that and the other pick, Platinum End, for the one-year anniversary pick, but for as much as I'd have liked to celebrate with a two-cour series (a first Kanon already had locked down), the slim chance of this actually getting broadcasted on Toonami by benefit of being from the Death Note creators convinced me that going for the LN adaptation less likely to get on Demarco's radar was the preferable option. Expect clips from the first episode of Vampire Cosmonaut soon on my Twitter! Second/lastly, and this was likely obvious considering I hadn't watched an episode in months, but I'm dropping Basquash! for the time being. Guess I just lost interest in pursuing it, I guess. I'll get back on that wagon eventually, but until then, I'll watch something else. What, you might ask? Considering it's a non-seasonal, I'm going to keep that one a surprise.
  18. Welp, /co/'s claiming that Toonami is going to die again now that its ratings reached their absolute low. These idiots have had nine years to understand that overall viewership isn't the only metric that matters and they still refuse to get it.
  19. Assuming I have the cable connection in my new apartment set up on move-in day, chances are I'll be able to watch it live too.d
  20. In which an out-of-place piece of technology makes a wannabe big-time anime reviewer lose his marbles in an obviously manufactured bout of rage.
  21. Am I the only one who feels Toga's "I was always a creepy little troll even as a little kid" backstory was more than a little lazy on Horikoshi's part? Never mind that, Twice time now. 12:00 - Fena: Pirate Princess #9 - Vice Versa - TV-14DV 12:30 - My Hero Academia #110 - Sad Man's Parade - TV-14V 1:00 - Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon #14 - The One Behind the Forest Fire - TV-14V 1:30 - Food Wars! The Fourth Plate #7 - Two Queens - TV-MAS 2:00 - Black Clover #168 - Stirrings of the Strongest - TV-PG 2:30 - Naruto Shippuden #360 - Jonin Leader - TV-PG 3:00 - Dr Stone: Stone Wars #5 - Steam Gorilla - TV-PGLV 3:30 - Dragon Ball Super #29 - Combat Matches Are a Go! The Captain is Someone Stronger Than Goku - TV-PGL
  22. Bad news: no Nagoya File this fall. Good news: another Kunoichi-centric side story! [merry kinktober]
