I won't hesitate to say that I cringed reading the staff and cast raving about how awesome the show was post-finale on Twitter. I mean, if they had fun on it, good for them, but still... I'm still a little iffy on Blade Runner living up to its potential, but the trailer looks good, and I'm fully accustomed to Sola Digital Arts' CG animation after Ultraman and the new GITS anime, so consider my expectations hopeful but much more tempered than they were with Fena.

So... yeah, this series. Normally I don't knock a show for wasted potential, but god damn did they waste it here or what? Easily one of the weakest I.G anime I've ever seen. So weak, I think I'm gonna watch the B: The Beginning sequel that was so maligned out of protest on its marathon night. That's right, I'm breaking my "no binging Netflix anime" rule just to demonstrate how much I'm disappointed in Fena for not making good on the promises it implied it would keep. Though again, I'm glad I was right that at least some of the O'Malley Pirates made it out of that ship explosion. Feels so good to be 3/8 venerated, even if it's a drop in the bucket compared to everything else. And on that note, I think I'm gonna turn in for the evening. I've got the Batman movies set to DVR - though given whatever fucked my ability to watch stuff in HD over the past week, I'm fully expecting them to look like 540p ass instead of the crisp 1080p I was promised with my new TV - so they'll be watched eventually.
