Didn't Kurt Cobain's murderer, Courtney Love try that once where she was pimping something shamelessly that no one asked for?, just to verify she's an even MORE Horrible person and celebrity than we all ALREADY simply assumed about her? Look where she ended up. Don't try it. Don't put me on the spot or your/you're (by now either is acceptable) the next Courtney Love. Seriously, don't try it. You got a death wish or somethin'?

ha ha! Yeah, Mochi is a tad bit obsessed with "being very, very gay" and I have gotten a few private PM complaints about Mochi's gay super anti-homophobic quasi-trolling, even to the point of driving some people to quit using this message board for just that very reason, because they think he's a troll who's "harassing them or someone else". I'm like, Jeez lady, he upsets you that much? Mochi isn't a bully, he's just fixated on one thing, but there are worse things to obsess about I suppose, like being prejudiced or fundamentalist INSTEAD of tolerant. I don't think Mochi's a troll. You can't really be a troll if you're championing understanding and tolerance, just a tolerance troll, like SJWs or whatever, but Mochi's not an SJW I'm pretty sure. Mochi is a sign of the times, that popular opinion favors tolerance over racism, bigotry, and hate. And because that's the case, we're seeing a tolerance and non-hate anti-bigot-or-racist extremism emerge of all things, where there is still bullying and censorship. To me, Mochi seems harmless enough. He's Just very, very obsessed with gay things, and he doesn't seem to realize that can rub some people the wrong way if they're not gay. Mochi's been here for a long time, and people didn't really complain about Mochi in 2003 like they do in 2018, because in 2003, people like Mochi were the counterculture, the minority. Now they're more of the mainstream, you're SJWs and anti-Trumps. Also, Mochi blended better and spoke out a lot less and continually back in 2003. I honestly don't feel at all threatened by him. He's just more focused and confident recently. I think he was one of the more shy followers of mine and others, in the early 2000s, like Panda Kabob started off. Harmless enough. Let's just hope he doesn't become a REAL troll like Panda ended up when he got more vocal here. I think in terms of politics, the Conservative Alt Right and Trump may have won the popular vote, but the Left, liberals, and Hillary won the popular mainstream opinion, because the loss upset a lot of people, and Trump never sympathized with that loss, of more than just an election, but the morale of a nation, which Obama kept intact. I think we can learn something from both parties. I'm in the middle myself. I realize neither side is entirely right or wrong. But Obama was better at running a bipartisan presidency. I read that in The Audacity of Hope . It's important we follow Obama's most valuable teachings, not just worship him as the First Black Multiracial President, and The Champion of the Left Wing. Obama said we should support Trump because he's the new president, and I think that's some good advice, within reason. Leave out the racist tendencies, and anti-semitic tendencies, leave in the Economics. But I'm getting derailed. Oooohhhh noooo! Not again, doesn't anyone check to see which way this train is going??!! AUUUUGGHHH!!! CRASH!!!. Let me know when there are zealots emerging for Free Real Estate: Bottom line, I didn't vote for Obama OR McCain, and Obama won and served TWO terms from 2009 - 2017. But I did promote Obama in my tweets during the second election. And he won a second term. I DID vote for Hillary in 2016, but didn't tweet about the election much. I put the so-called "legit effort" in going by the actual system, And guess who ended up winning! Screw voting! Once you go legit, you're fucked. When I tweeted about Cairo, it ended up getting liberated from a Brutal dictator. And Trump was more favored on Twitter than Palin or McCain. Bottom line, you want someone elected to office, a third world country liberated, or to get a million views online, you TWEET about it. Voting and campaigning in an election is only an afterthought in elections these days it seems. Twitter is the new Power Broker. Not Hollywood or Donald Trump. If you want to be president, you have to have the Twitter blessing in some way or another, and not "Just from JM" contrary to popular opinion, other people influence the public there, too. -

Yeah, it did kind of suck out loud that they killed him off. Especially so early on. He was a memorable anime character while he lasted, though. -

But there already is a very Macho gay character. At least one. Tada! Bulat from Akame Ga Kill. He's exactly what you describe. He's very gay and macho. The anime sucked kind of, but he was a memorable character. Like Puri Puri, but well drawn and sleek. He's more of a "cool gay guy". -

Actually, I'm no homophobe. I've considered writing a gay male protagonist recently. Even I can get tired of macho posturing sometimes. You could always write or draw your own if you've got skills to pay the bills, like me... -

But I love Puri Puri Prisoner! He's such a funny eccentric character and one of the most powerful characters in the series. He's at least got that going for him, even if he does look REALLY naked and weird. -

You're not really talking about OPM are you? Puri Puri is the only gay male character in One-Punch Man. I don't think there even are any lesbian characters IN One Punch Man. Well, you always have ME! Oh wait, I'm not really gay. Keep the hope alive brother... Isn't Lars secretly gay? It's probably because the public these days has more tolerance for female homosexuality over male. That's purely due to the teen lesbian pornography revolution...Males don't accomplish the same effect. Maybe that'll change some day. -

I don't normally. I just noticed I was reading a lot of volumes of it, and each volume is around 200 pages. It isn't that hard to do the math. -
Whoa. That's a good manga. And you know what? It's so good, I'm pretty sure it's the ONLY manga series I've read 2,000 pages of so far. So it's the reigning champ of manga, at least in my view of what I'm reading the most of currently. I didn't even read Blade of the Immortal THAT MUCH, and I've read hundreds and hundreds of pages of Blade of the Immortal, maybe even over 1,000, but never 2,000! Reading Number Page Amount Runners Up: Hiroaki Samura's Blade of the Immortal Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's Evangelion Kosuke Fujishima's Oh! My Goddess! I read the comic book printings of those books around 2000 each and every month until they switched to small page size, volume editions, and Left-to-Right Formats. Unfortunately. I HATE how manga volumes are tiny now. But I made an exception with OPM. And that was around 2000-2001 No Japanese manga (especially now) even comes CLOSE to touching One-Punch Man!

The two most popular being One-Punch Man and My Hero Academia. 2 Very fun anime and manga series. They seem to have become 2 of the most popular and best with American audiences. I've seen all of OPM Season 1, I own Volumes 1-11 and have read 1-10 so far. And I've watched Hero Academia 1-15. I'll eventually buy some copies of the manga and check those out too. These 2 anime must be really appealing and fun because I've watched more consecutive episodes in a row of these show than any other recent anime. I approve. It's definitely a trend. Superhero and indie comics seem bigger in Japan than previously, otherwise I can assure you these manga/anime wouldn't exist if they weren't. Thoughts on the trend? What's causing all this? Is it the dynamism of Saitama and All Might? The Crazy Villains and Monsters? Ort he glorification of the hero concept? All possible explanations. Other than Magus Bride, One-Punch Man and Academia are the only anime I've really gotten into. I like the American vibe they have, which is not to say I don't like Japan. I just like it when Japan pays homage to American personalities and culture.

It's not THAT gay, if at all. There's about as much BL as Naruto has, if any. I own volumes 1-4 of the manga, pretty sure, and yes, the production values for the manga as well as anime are pretty flawless. One of my favorite newer manga. I'm not as familiar with the anime. With any luck, Toonami will "pick it up".
