I’m inclined to believe the people who have come forward, the industry insiders, and everyone else over the fan club.

It clearly isn’t working. I’m not surprised RT moved first. Once they made gen:Lock with all those A-list actors (Michael B. Jordan, Dakota Fanning, and David Tenant) their level of scrutiny was going to increased a hundred fold. Then the green light was there, and so many VA’s have horror stories about this dude, so it didn’t take a lot of pushing.

Even the people who liked the first one didn’t want to see the sequels. It got dissed by the New York Times TV critic when he put A Place Further than Universe on the NYT best of 2018 list.

They saw “Toonami” and assumed it was dead.

See, if it was just fans, that would be one thing, but the fanclub, the co-workers, all the other stuff, and the fact that these rumors have been around in some form for a decade, you kinda put two and two together. SJW's suck, but when you call everyone an SJW the term becomes meaningless.

Fan clubs are relics of the days of CD clubs, and the like, a pre-internet way of expressing fandom.
