  1. What's the matter, kid? Some broad ram it into your poke or did you leave it in your other strides?
  2. I was expecting a cracker.
  3. Does the M.A.T ring a bell?
  4. No, but Atlantic City does have a Jitney Association.
  5. The 800 pounder who breaks the wheelchair lift.
  6. When you show up for screening of Dharma and Greg, check your brain at the door. You won't need it and you'll break a rib laughing.
  7. If it does, my landlady will be paying for a new boiler.
  8. Toss them. They're probably rotted.
  9. After. It was like somebody abducted Sister Dora and replaced her with Miss Hippywizzle.
  10. I guess it depends what's being tested. For cholesterol and glucose, I had always been told to undergo a minimum eight hour fast.
  11. More likely just a small clinic that caters to 4,000 members on limited hours. You can't expect convenience at that rate.
  12. Was it before or after the federal government started sticking its nose into private schools?
  13. They probably have it already. The equipment is on premises. But, this is the union's clinic and so it takes two weeks just to get an appointment.
  14. Rugby transdermal nicotine patch. The union's pharmacy gave it to me for free and so I'm not gambling anything by trying it. The doctor who recommended it seems insistent that works better than Nicoderm CQ and others. I'm curious too. Nicotine patches I've tried didn't have menthol. Neither does this one. So, I asked the doctor what could happen if I eat Halls tablets for the menthol while I'm using this patch. She's stumped about effectiveness, but said it couldn't hurt anything. The very worst that could happen here is yet another failed attempt at knocking out the habit.
  15. Really? What year?
  16. I could just picture you with Sister Dora. "Can you SOURCE that? Hunh? Where's your proooooooFF?" Then, she breaks the pointer on your face and sends you home. If you had parents like mine, you'd get ass kicked again there.
  17. Every doctor I had who ordered blood testing, until today, had insisted, "fast". Fast meant, "FAST" not even coffee until after the testing. This one I met today? Has to be the different one. She asked, even before she mentioned another blood test, whether I had eaten. I told her I had coffee in the morning and tea later in the day. No trouble, I guess. She sent me to the lab within the hour for another round of "find the cholesterol". Now, I get to find out whether coffee or tea really do change the numbers. Doctor showed me the last reading and I was a bit high on triglycerides. Not much change in diet. Still with the red meat. But, will my number rise or fall? I'll see in two weeks when the result is in.
  18. The teachers always ran on the notion that doing things like ask for their sources was an attack on their integrity. People got expelled or disciplined for that. Students were expected to show respect.
  19. Tell that to the kids who got sent to the office enough times to be expelled... for the same reason.
  20. I've been to a lot of different schools, both public and private. They all had the very same common thread. Spend too much time questioning the teacher and get sent to the principal's office for being disruptive. The teacher was always right. Wanna bother with sourcing? The public library was still open after school.
  21. Back to the law firm of Duey, Cheetham and Howe
  22. You should have checked that before I locked the door and hung the "Gone fishing" sign.
  23. Remember when I said there will be a lot less hurricane activity in 2018 than this year? Keep that in mind because I'm saying it again, right now, about a year before anyone else does.
  24. It's just like any other merchandising. Some items move and some don't. I get better sales from the beer stein. (mentioned and described already)
  25. By not defiantly questioning the teachers or asking for their sources.
