  1. The union owns and manages the account until I'm old enough to collect.
  2. What does "large" mean to you, then?
  3. And I'll still be collecting from the pension, which the casino doesn't own.
  4. He can manage. This isn't his first time.
  5. In this economy? Better hope nobody discovers fracking there.
  6. The definition includes, "large". That doesn't mean ten or fifteen square yards.
  7. Bro is going to be teaching at a college in September, Sister in law is working as a receptionist.
  8. I know the fucking definition and I posted it. Now, yes, Wharton is a shrinking forest. Enjoy it while you still can. You found the solitary remaining example. South Jersey was almost all forest, not too long ago. Then, the developers moved in.
  9. I showed you the definition.
  10. Wowsers!
  11. Subsonic would mean any sound wave below the human hearing range. Waves come in various forms. You can see them on an oscilloscope. A sine wave is a gradual rise and fall, rounded at the peaks and crests and equal in frequency from either peak to peak or crest to crest. It's not as abrupt as other wave forms. The generator would involve a subwoofer connected to an oscillator.
  12. I just don't do mandatory OT anymore. It's easier just to take the puny, token penalty for calling out. Trying to mandate me is insulting and disrespectful. My being an employee doesn't mean they own me as they would own appliances. I've got other shit to do on my scheduled days off and when I want some OT, I'll call them, not the other way around.
  13. Consider also the notion of Heaven, Hell, The House of Dust and Shadows, Paradise, etc. Why not parallel universes, occasionally becoming crossed? Why do we only perceive things in four dimensions?
  14. He was a physicist, not a climatologist.
  15. So, I should be able to set up a subsonic sine wave generator in a bar room and have everyone who drank more than two shots seeing Casper. Interesting...
  16. Maybe they're not electromagnetic.
  17. Right up until it starts manipulating objects.
  18. There are ghosts, demons, deities and certain spirits yet to be identified. Don't go around thinking that energy can be destroyed just because its conduit is disrupted. Who, 500 years ago would have believed in a sort of light that can not be seen by human eyes and yet could pass right through things that are ordinarily opaque? Nobody, until X rays were discovered. We need a way to detect the spirits as the silver oxide film paper detects the X rays.
  19. Indeed, I do. Every year at about the same time, I receive a statement of precisely how much my monthly benefits will be at retirement. The longer I work, the bigger it gets.
  20. Believe me... it's worse than BK because when you consider the sixty hour week, plus being on call 24/365, a supervisor is actually getting paid a few dollars less per hour than the janitors. Flat salary blows monkey ass.
  21. Nice way to build up a fully vested pension at an early age. Some people are fifteen years older than I am, but still have a few more years to go before vesting.
  22. No, that stopped when I pointed out the online definition of forest... still quite surprisingly similar to what my actual dictionary says about it. Wooded highway medians don't qualify either way.
  23. It does seem to qualify for now, just don't expect it to last. Big Business needs the space.
  24. We're not talking about definitions. I'm saying, don't expect Wharton to stay intact. It already encompasses a Disney style tourist trap with gift shops and shit like that.
