  1. That's not what I said at all. 1988, I wasn't working in a casino. The job paid $5.85 an hour. I had $2,375 in a cigar box for emergencies. Later, I was hired at the casino for $6.75 per hour. With raises each year for five years, disposable income became available. That means that in 1988, there was virtually zero for luxury. Five years later, luxury was in the budget.
  2. Actually, about five years. I wasn't posting here twenty five years ago.
  3. Nope. This is just on regular wages. Anyway the stone is an Ethiopian opal.
  4. Getting this stone would have been impossible thirty years ago. All the money I had came in my right hand and out the left. Because food and rent. Currently, I'm getting custom artwork from Joe del Beato. It's like, impulse buying.has become normal.
  5. Doing a little recon on terrorist toon fanatics. Sure...
  6. That's right. Men, keep the bull in the pen. Gals, keep your skirts down and your legs closed.
  7. Nah... he wouldn't have either the time or the inclination to be here, even if he were aware of this forum.
  8. Or engineers who can't build a foot bridge.
  9. Officially, the one and only debt at this point is the house. Cards get zeroed out at statement posting.
  10. Excuses, excuses... what is actual "proof" to you, then? And DON'T bounce me into a paywall or anything that shows my Social Security number.
  11. They get their info from Equifax and Transunion.
  12. I don't have his password. If his score were like this, why would he need me to buy the house for him?
  13. Check the dates. And how would I get anyone else's?
  14. Now, why would he even know this forum exists?
  15. Say... looks like the score has dropped since the jewelry store account was opened. No worries... just get that balance paid off and it will be back to normal soon enough.
  16. Since when? Unless you are paying cash.
  17. The house is the proof.
  18. Work before rest. Don't procrastinate.
  19. Did it stand?
  20. I wouldn't be so sure about that.
  21. Right up until the punch line.
  22. Money that's fast and easy never lasts. Just ask any homeless guy.
  23. Easy come, easy go.
  24. You should worry more about your own. Have you even started on one yet?
