I had a lot of fun talking about it with you guys when it was still airing.good times If it ever airs back on tv again though,Demarco should do a fma power hour,which is airing 03 back to back with brotherhood.it would probably be legendary ! and sorry to throw this in here,but no way in hell did the revenue sales of both fma's anime dvd/blurays go up ever since aniplex unallowed funimation to renew the license,at least for North American consumers? Or did it? Doesn't seem like it to me when the price to buy one set of dvds/blurays now are so absurdly high. I feel discouraged...(even if I already own both fma's on dvd/blurays anyways

And the director really could made it happen in that fashion considering how awkwardly placed alot of the filler episodes were,like how a filler episode came just before the whole fourth great ninja war began.what a way to buzzkill alot of people excitement at the start of the arc haha But yeah,it was a good throwback to nostalgia, sort of reminded me how much more strategic fights were back then

And this whole squad fight could have gone on for maybe 1 or 2 more episodes,I could see kiba,neji,shikamaru,or chouji pulling out a new secret filler exclusive jutsu the last couple of minutes just to finished off the powered up sound four This whole squad fight rematch just ended unsatisfying

Looks like a case of the director just wanting the writers to finally wrap up this whole squad fight as fast as possible so they brought naruto in And naruto probably could have a fight against kimimaro again but I guess the writers figured what's even the point when no enemy so far has been about to match naruto's strength

What revenge did the sound four have against naruto? He barely fought against any of them besides kimimaro

Of course the sound four had to power up even further to even continue this fight

I could see kishimoto developing the byakugan to be stronger than the sharigan if naruto had it in his arsenal instead of neji

To be fair,no one really made a thread for primal fury either. Maybe if samurai Jack or primal fury aired during the middle of the block,the regulars here would be more willing to watch it

Agreed,thought this might have been filler planned for part 1. Major props if the filler writers remembered this far back if they planned this for part 2 instead though

Well nice to see, 💘Hawkeye getting a little toonami spotlight at least (by sort of being the avatar of that toonami pre flight) as her snapping on Lust to rage shoot her and then mentally breaking down afterwards to give viewers/reader another shade of her characterization that we haven't seen before is definitely a highlight of that episode as well when the avatar could have just been roy also,Looks like demarco is pushing fmab to be back on toonami even though it was initially aniplexs fault by for not allowing funimation to renew their fma license,nice of him to talk about his one of favorite fmab episode though

I agree with what you said lol Though let's say,we don't throw out their rivalry though(even though their backstory just sounds so silly lol) as I could potentially see ino also being another prime motivator for sakura to start learning her own unique power (and sakura wouldn't have to wait for tsunade) like masashi could have better written their rivalry when it came to the actual fighting like: -sakura vs ino fight 1 - ino beats sakura with her power easily but this loss finally motivates sakura to learn her new unique power -Sakura vs ino fight 2- sakura beats ino with her new power -sakura vs ino fight 3- I'm not sure who wins fight 3,I guess sakura wins or it could have ended in a draw like the series but the way masashi wrote their initial actual fight ,he really tried to paint it like it was the climax of their bout even though it was only their first actual fight to actually happen,like masashi just skipped lazily to the end,and the payout felt so unsatisfying(as expected) @DangerMouse yeah,I don't remember much or any acknowledge from sasuke to ino,just straight dismissals,which means masashi wrote sakura's backstory for almost nothing

one of ino's decided roles was to be the rival of sakura when it came to actual fighting on the field(though the rivalry for that aspect was so short lived its almost like it never happened ,and Ino should have easily won that) , and also be competition when it came to fantasizing heavily about being with sasuke romantically. There's just one problem with that though,sasuke is never seen interacting with Ino or even acknowledges her existence (if I remember correctly) which makes Ino feel likes she's just sakura rival..to be her rival... Because...lol I can't remember what ino did in those filler eps

though I think you were probably thinking about how ino would save shikamaru this time and not temari,that would have been nice to see

Ino could have fought kimimaro though I don't think that would made for an interesting fight or made a whole new sound ninja entirely but that would have been a retcon so the staff just dismissed ino entirely

Definitely has taken away from the tension of many fights in shippuden

Yeah she didn't have much of a role.She was only created to be a barricade to slow the genin konoha kids from catching up to sasuke to attempt a rescue and push shikamaru to use his shadow power to his absolute limits

This plot point of endeavor being considered for the number one hero spot and ultimately proving himself to be fit for the position should have way sooner in the story( like right around or after after almight's fight with oneforall) though I think it was the author finally remembering that endeavor existed as a character

the strength of the Third raikage's look and felt so underwhelming,I guess that was the point.Also,was the move the Third raikage using directly from the hyuga clan?
