  1. Christmas Evil was a Christmas Slasher I couldn't take seriously. The decorations were the only frightening parts about the entire film. The protagonist made me laugh. Silent Night, Deadly Night was the most convincing Christmas Slasher, when it came to the protagonist having Santaphobia. Christmas Evil, on the other hand, did not deliver. That Christmas Slasher was a joke! Oh no! I saw Santa Claus is caressing mommy's thigh by the Christmas Tree. So traumatizing! Now, I have SANTAPHOBIA!
  2. Yes, the boyfriend was a complete Red Herring and every last character in Black Christmas was stupid and annoying. However, the so-called heroine was the most stupid, self-centered, and annoying character out of everyone. When the police told her the killer was in the house, I was literally yelling at my screen, "YOU STUPID BITCH! GET OUT THE FUCKING HOUSE!" That character made my blood boil because she was such a dumb ass.
  3. I can understand why. Even though John Carpenter was influenced by Black Christmas and created Halloween because of the Christmas Slasher, Black Christmas annoyed me. It was mostly because the so-called "heroine" was a stupid, self-centered, sorority girl. Supposedly, Bob Clark and Nick Mancuso took turns playing the stalker. I hated the ending of Black Christmas. I was yelling at my screen because the "heroine's" dumb ass wouldn't listen to the cops. Although, that ending was an interesting twist. Everyone thought it was her boyfriend stalking and killing sorority girls, when it was a moral villain lurking in the shadows.
  4. Yes, some filmmakers worked in a lot of genres because they had versatility.
  5. A Christmas Story by Bob Clark Something I found to be rather interesting was that the filmmaker of A Christmas Story was the same filmmaker, who did both Porky's and the Christmas Slasher, Black Christmas. Black Christmas was filmed a decade before Clark created A Christmas Story. Talk about a major contrast in movie genres.
  6. Yes, exactly. Regardless of everything, I still celebrate the holidays and birthdays. You can't stay miserable for too long. You have to find some kind of joy in something, again.
  7. Since last week, I could feel a great sense of mourning. Old and depressing songs I haven't listened to in YEARS randomly got stuck in my head. Elfen Lied's "Lilium" has been stuck in my head the most for the last 48 hours to 2 weeks. Then, like I said earlier, we got a phone call from relatives on Thanksgiving, saying that my grandmother's brother died from cancer. She is heartbroken, right now. My guide has been sending me messages, since last Thursday. It's always horrible to have family members die on a holiday meant for families. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17-az4wK1Z4
  8. This sucks. Even though Chiller TV's programming could've been a lot better, it sucks that NBC Universal is discontinuing it. I was disappointed with Chiller's lack of advertising for the Anime Wednesday block, when the network used to be on the Dish Network package. Originally, I began watching Chiller TV for their version of Syfy's Ani-Monday block. Sometimes I would watch Chiller for syndicated Horror miniseries and documentaries. Overall, my biggest complaint about the network was that a network specifically meant for Horror fans should NOT be censored. I expected Chiller TV to be an uncensored premium channel like HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Encore, Starz, etc. A Horror channel geared towards Horror fans should be uncensored and without commercial breaks. It should also air both Independent and Mainstream Horror films.
  9. That's terrible.
  10. Sometimes they report on our local news about the elderly dying from strokes and heart attacks because they were shoveling too much snow.
  11. Sometimes when we have blizzards, we have to shovel snow at least 2-3 times within 1 day. Talk about getting a workout. I'm normally flinging snow 6 feet high in the air with my shovel. It's worse when there's water in the snow because the water in it makes shoveling snow harder.
  12. Do you take Vitamin B12 and Ferrous Sulfate tablets for your anemia? If not, you should. I had to take them years ago for my anemia because I was missing 1/2 my blood platelets.
  13. Yeah, raking leaves, shoveling snow, and the cold weather is a major annoyance, but I have lived through much worse. This past winter, we have been very fortunate to not have so much snow. It mostly rained throughout the winter earlier this year, which was very abnormal for us. Not that I'm complaining about it. In fact, I hope we have less snow again this time.
  14. I used to love this time of the year but that all changed within the last 13-17 years because of deaths and a traumatic incident, that personally happened to me.
  15. Exactly. The first few months or so are always the worst part, after someone dies. Other people can't necessarily empathize unless they have personally lived through tragedy during the holidays. It's a hard pill to swallow. All the while, there are those types of people, who want to label us as being "Scrooges" because we're not bouncing off the walls with excitement about celebrating the holidays the way THEY want us to celebrate it.
  16. Since 2004, I began dreading this time of season because my grandfather died in the early part of fall. It took a huge toll on me, especially because his death was the biggest loss I ever had. It wasn't like I never experienced loss before my grandfather died. Because he was my father figure, it was a major loss. I also think about other people, who lost their family members before, during, and after the holidays. For example, our relatives from Detroit called to let us know, that my great-uncle died from cancer yesterday. Because I know what it's like to lose immediate family around this time of the season, I feel badly for my cousins, great-aunt, and grandmother. Families, friends, and pets dying around this time of the year is always the worst because people will always be reminded of their deaths, during this time of the year. Family members dying on the actual holidays makes it worse. Nowadays, I dread hearing Christmas Music because I, as well as many others are reminded of the times of joy with family members, friends, and pets that are dead.
  17. I accumulated a lot of messages too over the year because of having different discussions with other posters. That's besides my inbox being spammed with 45 PM's earlier this month by someone with OCD.
  18. I'm just saying. This is a hateful çommunity. Even if they don't necessarily hate you, why would you want your birthday ruined by hateful and divisive posters, especially highly divisive posters?
  19. Don't feel bad. Who wants to celebrate their birthday with people who hate them? Just think about it. Do you REALLY want to celebrate your birthday on a board where posters and trolls intentionally derail your threads and shit on you? Personally speaking, I sure as hell don't. I'm not offended if NOBODY creates a birthday thread for me on this board. Consider it to be a birthday present and a blessing in disguise.
  20. Is anyone else having problems deleting and sending messages or is it just me?
  21. This new site is not very user friendly. Hopefully, everything gets fixed soon so that we can all work this site properly. In the meantime, I will try lurking every so often. Not that much of anybody from this çommunity cares. Just saying.

  22. Just stopping by to say hi!:)

I hoped everything went well. I'm exhausted. It's holiday hell week at work and it's really been brutal

Her appointment went just fine. Women 40 years old and older are supposed to go for mammograms yearly. I won't have to go for another 5 years.

  23. It would be much better, if we had an actual block button like on facebook. Then, it would make their entire existence, including their thread titles invisible and we wouldn't have to see each other. There are posters within this community, that bitch too much about everything, which is all the more reason why this community can't grow. This is coming from a complainer. I may complain but NOT to the extent, that I hate EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in life.
