LOL yeah, old lady night on Toonami. Have we seen her in ages? lol -
Probably could go either way since the manga's ongoing, but I think he's probably dead, but I guess technically Karura is kind of a phoenix so kinda immortality and resurrection in there. But I wouldn't be surprised if he's dead as I also think he served his purpose trying to bring out and tempt Yukio's frustration and jealousy similar to his own.

Right? He actually seems real hard to predict. Kinda hope he doesn't turn out evil, he's pretty fun most of the time, especially thanks to the voice actor.
