    hmmm I guess it could have been the gas too, but I think it was mainly the ridiculous level of heat from those Colossals. Remember they even vaporized the crew on those ships in the last season finale, just from swimming under that fleet.

    No, I don't think he settled on this one after experiencing the options, I was thinking that the way said that made me feel like he made a choice that solidified this path and even when he tried to change certain things from his vision prior to activating the rumbling nothing he did could alter any significant events from changing how they played out like his reaction to Sasha's death and at some point gave in.

    Hange's finally admitting her mistakes this ep more than all last season. That can't end well.

    He did, but from what I remember it was only shown subtly. Reiner revealed it when they were on top of the wall after they and Zeke had that coffee the night before that big final battle. They show a shot or two of Bertholdt sneaking peaks at Annie and he blushes when Reiner tells him that Annie might see him as her knight if he rescues her. Doesn't really matter though because I agree we know Armin already liked Annie on his own even before he got the Colossal. And that Eren was lying about it being the only reason he had feelings for Annie or that Mikasa only comes to Eren's defense because of her genetics.
