Yeah those were fun nights. Oh man, I'd be surprised to see 03 on even though it'd quite cool, that would be a lot of fun seeing both versions on like that! And in any watch-through I'll always remember each time we got to the epic Armstrong/Briggs and Kimbley. I feel the same, I've got to imagine that slowed any new sales quite a bit compared to the more US competitively priced Funi sets. Let alone it being an older show so it'd be even more price sensitive here. Not to mention look how quick Sony pushed for Aniplex and Funi to cooperate on getting Brotherhood streaming back on Funi once they bought them. It'd be cool if they could add the original too. Same here I've got the blu-ray parts sets of Brotherhood and that collector's edition of the original that Funi put out just before they were unable to renew.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that that was really strange timing for that filler back then, since they could have done it some other way. It's true, filler with extra encounters by the side squads would be a better use. If I remember correctly, Bleach also weirdly had all that filler right around the build up to Ichigo vs Aizen breaking up the momentum. Yeah.

Yeah I wouldn't have minded an extra episode to get those to more properly finish off this little mini battle since we spent time on setting it up. The last two eps being a little battle within the war weren't too bad since it featured a different group in the present having an extra fight in the war.

Yeah I'm surprised we didn't get those showdowns.

Don't think it has anything to do with covid since Vinland 15 would have been last year. Not sure how common it is. Found this old answerman that mentioned a few and also of course some Korean animators. Looks like he mentions that actual anime development though is quite rare and only gave one example. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/answerman/2016-05-25/.102455 The main one I'm aware of just because he's pretty big that's been around for a while is Thomas Romain often coming up for art design in Satelight's shows (and stuff like Space Dandy), I think after he established himself in European animation like Code Lyoko and Oban Star-Racers. He probably got big enough through those and his couple of anime art contributions to work his way upto design and art director level. But they've also been getting more foreign music composers too.
