    the series ends with no pairings at all, and there's no timeskips to the future, it basically leaves all pairing possibilities open, some people hate that...I like it because a LOT of shonen series go out of their way to pair off every character into a heterosexual marriage, even between characters who were previously implied (and sometimes CONFIRMED) to be gay
