Just connected my PC to my shitty little 20 inch CRT and I'm kind of amazed that it looks this decent. It feels like 1997 all over again.

Once I finish Lunar 2 I'm going to start the Shining Force games.

If anyone here gets running out of f*cks to give

I'm saving my fucks for a rainy day. -
That's why I mostly switched to PC. You can play almost everything and the list grows every day. Not to mention rom hacks and fan translations of foreign games. You can bet your ass my PC has a blu-ray drive in it though. I play my PS2 discs in 4k and it's sick. Most games upscale surprisingly well.

Depends on how big your library is I suppose. And if you're not against emulation there are plenty of other ways to play PSP games. I understand wanting to use original hardware though. That's why I went through all the trouble of getting this back to working condition to begin with.

I played it for free and still wanted my money back.

What did you have for dinner? NOT a discussion thread.

Philly Melt from BK. Not nearly as good as the jalapeno one. -
You could put Reese's peanut butter on a dog turd and I'd probably eat it.

Thinking about what to post.

Looks like replacement screens go for about $70 now so I just decided to put the old janky screen back on it instead. At least it works.
-
So at least on the slim models the speakers are actually connected by pins on the back panel that touch contact pads on the smaller motherboards so they won't even produce any sound if the back panel isn't on. I put the back panel on just enough to make contact with the pads and the speakers work just fine. I think the issue with the screen might be slight corrosion on the ribbon cable. I cleaned it off with IPA but it still looks like it might have caused some damage to the cable itself. I might see if I can take the cable from the old screen and put it on the new one.

So I replaced the screen a while ago and still had the old one which still worked but had weird artifacts or something on it. Anyway, I plugged that one in and it turns out the Vita was working the whole time but for some reason the new screen stopped working and there's no sound. Edit: Audio through headphones works so it's a speaker issue. Hoping it's software related.

Anything over 70 pisses me off.

Does the power light come on? Because it sounds similar to what's happening to mine.
