IF I had to arrange the shows, here's how I would do it, and why: 11 PM - Samurai Jack, cuz CN Studios World Premiere. DUH. Later replace with AOT S2 if that's coming. 11:30 PM - Dragonball Super - Dub near-premiere of 2015 show 12 AM - DBZ Kai - Dub premiere of 2014 show (albeit one that uses ancient animation) 12:30 AM - Hunter x Hunter - Dub premiere of 2012 show, and it's entering what is widely regarded as one of its best arcs, so it could use a boost. Plus always seems to retain well and I'd love to see what it could do with a prime timeslot like this. 1 AM - Tokyo Ghoul - The new kid on the block but it's not a dub premiere. 1:30 AM - Gundam Unicorn - Needs to hang on to a decent slot for IBO S2; will have 11 episodes left once Ghoul arrives. Will end the same week as episode 11 of Ghoul, but then maybe swap with it before Sqrt(A) hits? 2 AM - JoJo - Only 5 episodes left and it retains DBZ Kai poorly so it can take the shaft. That doesn't mean it might not get new life at some point with Stardust Crusaders, but not right away. In fact, I daresay Shippuden might rebound to 2 AM after Jojo, either bringing in a 2nd rerun (like FLCL) or contract Toonami to 11-3. 2:30 - Shippuden - Pain Arc don't care. After that it's crap. 3 AM - GITS because rerun! However, that being said, here's what I think [as] will actually do: Jack; Super; Kai; Ghoul; JoJo; Hunter; Gundam; Shippuden; GITS.

If that's what happens, I would actually be OK with it. They didn't screw up Shippuden too bad. The Hidan/Kakuzu arc was still pretty brutal to be relegated to 11 PM Saturday nights... ...which is prime real estate for Toonami but ironically crap for Disney ! Actually though, Samurai Jack's biggest win might be rerunning in American Horror Story's timeslot (or half of it) on Wednesday nights!

My money's on a speedy dub (like 2 months later) of AOT S2!

I don't think this is a "Soulless cash grab". FUNimation gives it soul if anything! Besides, it's the only way we'll get beyond Resurrection of F in anime form, so might as well suck it up and enjoy!

Why? What becomes of the old thread? It would be different if users could just delete losing threads but guess what? We can't. So I'm stuck doing bizarre stuff like this unless the mods get rid of one of the threads quickly. Until then it's confusing since you can't just check the time stamp. A pretty good amount of time had passed that anyone who wanted the JoJo thread could get it too. But I am still going to make a new thread if there hasn't been one made for the show I'm thinking about...

Toonami is airing 2 more episodes. Tokyo Ghoul begins 3/25/17.

Yeah, for example I could see them start One Piece anew after DBZ Kai FC ends from the Winter 2015 Simuldub's first episode, which isn't available on FUNimation NOW, or I don't know how to get to it. But as for our continued watch, I think it should begin on March 20th and be 4 episodes a week (Monday-Thursday) for 18 weeks. Is that decent?

Well, at least not anytime soon and not at the point in the story where it left off. If it DOES come back it will be just like before and skip a whole bunch of episodes. I'm not really sure if FUNimation even does simuldubs for One Piece, but I THOUGHT they did. If Toonami were to pick up where FUNi started that, we might be in better shape.

How about March 20th? I was thinking one episode every weekday for Season 7, then take a break before starting Season 8. That will give everyone Saturdays and Sundays to catch up, and there will also be a break between FUNimation's seasons. Season 7 ends with Episode 456 and begins with 385. Doing the math, 456-384=72, or 14 weeks and change. That means we begin S7 with 385 on March 20, and end with Episode 456 around the 4th of July.

I think Toonami had too many long-runners. One Piece was the weakest link, so goodbye? Well, NOT quite. I figured there had to be a price in the 2017 budget for doubling down on Dragonball and getting Super, and Toonami paid the price. If One Piece has another shot when DBZ Kai Final Chapters ends, it would be wise for it to use the recent Broadcast/Simuldubs of the most recent seasons instead. I guess it COULD happen... But back to Tokyo Ghoul, I just hope it stays in its lane. Backing up GITS at 2:30 AM is a great timeslot for it. Though given how contemporary the animation in JoJo (2013), Gundam Unicorn (2012-ish atm, ending 2014), and Hunter x Hunter (2012) is, even 12:30 wouldn't be a stretch. I doubt it will debut at Midnight supplanting Kai FC, but I suppose even THAT'S possible! And of course Ghoul and JoJo would seem to work pretty well together. I just hope if Gundam IBO S2 gets on Toonami, if Unicorn is airing at like 1:30 AM it gets boosted back to like 12:30 AM or at least 1 AM. S2 at least deserves that! But Hunter x Hunter IS still a freaking dub premiere so airing it at 2 AM would be an insult. As much as I would hate Gundam Unicorn to fall all the way to 2 AM I can live with that. I also hope we're getting Attack on Titan S2 at some point, but I'm thinking that might be far-fetched unless the price of doubling down on DBZ wasn't One Piece. If the eventual tradeoff is AOT S2 following Jack, then I'm cool with that.

As much as I abhor most of the trollish crap you post, I have to admit THIS is funny!

I wonder if they'll flush Shitpudd'n after the Pain arc? Or maybe replace it with BORUTO? The real issue is that Toonami needs more girl power. Sailor Moon Crystal replacing JoJo, Viz? Don't get me wrong; I'm sure we'll still see Stardust Crusaders--just not yet. And I don't want SMC, I want Lupin III, but I'll admit a male-oriented Toonami just isn't doing as well as the mixed-gender lineup we had in Spring and Summer 2015!
