  1. That's a sucker bet since they'll actually be fighting on Kai's planet, which isn't something I remember from the movie!
  2. Fair warning: back in 2015, I saw embarrassingly bad stills from the Japanese airing of the next episode, but I'm pretty sure they cleaned it up for the [as]/Toonami version, which is essentially the DVD/BD version.
  3. Lord Beerus has arrived! Sh*t gets real, next episode! On to the continued adventures of the Great Saiyaman in Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters!
  4. Hey Saito, welcome to the party early! Hope you're enjoying the slapstick comedy!
  5. Grab a tasty snack and settle in; it's gonna be a long fun night!!!
  6. Hey, I like having these characters back on TV! Hope the nostalgia factor gives it a ratings boost! And of course I love this slapstick stuff!
  7. One theory might be that it's not the Dragonball Mai, but her daughter. It's not out of the question that Pilaf and Shu simply don't age as fast as humans!
  8. PILAF!!! How long has it been since he's been on Toonami? 15 years?? Oh wait, he does show up in DB GT pretty much at this exact point in the story, so I guess that would be 13.5-ish years!
  9. On this day, either 4 or 6 years ago (depending upon whether you watched the anime or read the manga)...
  10. Not ever just on a laptop at 11 PM CT. While I CAN do some embellishments, it's much harder to do my best on a smartphone!
  11. Episode 36: A Big Debt × And × A Small Kick The showdown between Gon and Hisoka continues, 1:30 AM Tomorrow, ONLY TOONAMI!!
  12. Episode 4: Full Frontal's Pursuit OP: "Into The Sky" by Tielle ED: "?????" by Aimer Last time you remember, this guy died a tragic death, and Banagher Links inherited the Unicorn! THE STORY CONTINUES: 1 AM ET TOMORROW NIGHT (1/28/17), ONLY TOONAMI
  13. Listen to Uchiha clan Members tell ridiculously long, conflicting flashback stories now on the Toonami stream!! But take heart because there's still a little Orochimaru in there, as well as a little Tobi, as he reveals who he really is to the others! The last time to see 136-140 on the Marathon Stream is right now!!
  14. Wait, what? Didn't you used to crap on the Gundam show incessantly while defending all the others, yet most of them didn't change and now it's the opposite? That's...largely unscientific!
  15. Unfortunately, if you want to watch the dub, and you don't have amazon prime... $$$$$$$$$$$
  16. I do think it's weird that the Toonami app doesn't play Toonami videos, which could potentially double the bandwidth or something. But the Toonami Marathon Stream is better than nothing, so I don't criticize it that much. During the weekend, it's relatively useful for catching all the shows you might have missed 4 weeks ago on TV, and on weekdays it's probably best used if you already know which episodes are on and can catch little details of them you might have missed when they aired on TV. But I do wish they would specify which episodes are streaming somehow with the app selection menu.
  17. I believe one easy fix would be replacing 8 PM premieres of Dragon Ball Super with encores of the previous week's 11:30 Toonami showing. If you ask me, if the 8 PM hour isn't branded part of Toonami, then Toonami should get those premieres. It would be as simple as showing the same episode at 8 PM 2 weeks in a row. I daresay if Super had 11:30 PM premieres instead of encores of the 8 PM premiere, it would have gotten like 1.4M and even beaten Family Guy at 11 PM on those week weaks. Keep in mind that the DBZ Kai episode which scored 2.015M in August 2015 also had an 8 PM encore the following week, so encores at 8 PM have proven not to be too detrimental to Dragon Ball franchise premieres during Toonami. In the meantime, a lot of DB Super's success at 8 PM is in which movie CN decides to end their programming day with at 6 PM as a lead-in. The first couple of weeks, fairly well-received movies led into Super and were able to grant it that 1M+ windfall. Last week it was the absolutely-deplorable Spy Kids 2. This week, it's the slightly more beloved Rio. We'll just have to see how this does... Also, the last two weeks, it's been more recent episodes of Family Guy which led into Toonami, from 2014 or 2015. This week, FG goes back to the beginning, with the first two episodes from 1999 leading-in to Toonami. This should be an interesting test of the timelessness of those episodes!
  18. Watch now, one last time: episode 134, in which Team Kakashi confronts--Tobi. Tobi (who we kinda thought died as collateral damage in the Deidara/Sasuke fight) is utterly hilarious in this! "Whack-A-Mole" Jutsu! LOL!
  19. Sadly, this is true. I prefer to call them "lies!" No, actually, they're just opinions. Nothing more, nothing less.
  20. Yep, everyone's #1 Knucklehead Ninja is back on the stream this week! This one essentially picks up where the last one left off with episodes 131-135 through tomorrow (Wednesday) at 6:30 PM, then episodes 136-140 through Friday at 6:30 PM! The first 3 episodes cover the end of Jiraiya's battle with Pain, and the last two the beginning of Sasuke's confrontation with Itachi. So watch and enjoy!
  21. What kind of sense does ANY OF this make?? These look like "alternative facts" to me!

  23. Or maybe we should dismiss these as "alternative facts?" Good lord, that oxymoron makes me scratch my head! http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/saturday-cable-ratings-jan-21-2017/ Well, 11:30 Super lost bad from 11 PM Family Guy, but not THAT bad, since FG couldn't even crack 1.4 million. From there drops as normal. 11:30 PM Dragon Ball Super 1,041,000 (74.95%) 12:00 AM DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters 925,000 (88.86%) 12:30 AM JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 760,000 (82.16%) 1:00 AM Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn 648,000 (85.26%) And that's all I have since, as you can see, Gundam didn't even make the Top 100, nor did Super at 8 PM nor Jack or anything else after Gundam. But hopefully Programming Insider/Son Of The Bronx will provide the whole story soon!
  24. No, but they are the worst ratings for a non-marathon block in 2 years, at least from what I can see so far. The night of 1/10/15 was worse, when, lo and behold, the block was ALSO led-off by a rerun! Though those AOT episodes were 3-peats and not near-premieres like what we have right now.
