  1. That ending was straight-up "covfefe!" But now, back to something GOOD!
  2. I actually kinda liked Root A, but that last episode was AWFUL!
  3. Wow, why the hell didn't Toonami air that!? After all, we got the after-credits scene LAST episode!
  4. This show is really good at building up good tension in the 11th episode of each season... ...but then pisses it away with melodrama in the 12th episode!
  5. Where the hell is the One Eyed Owl?? Oh, I get it. HE'S the asshole who burned the shop down. And UNRAVEL plays!
  6. Funny, this crap happened in Monster over on ol' Syfy AniMonday and we ate it up! BTW, was this show seinen or shonen?
  7. Yeah, THAT was emo! It's back on. I enjoyed Root A more than I thought I would--now when the hell is the final battle gonna be??
  8. Sonic gets his big blue ass raped by a rusty screwdriver!! [hope he's had his tetanus shot]
  9. EPISODE #14 "The end of Lupin the 3rd" ...but is it REALLY the end? Find out tomorrow night at 1:30 AM! Only Toonami!
  10. EPISODE 9: "YELLOW TEMPERANCE" Kakyoin is a TRAITOR? THIS IS BIZARRE!! Find out more at Midnight tonight (9/30/17)! ONLY TOONAMI!!
  11. EPISODE 12 (24 overall): "Ken___" Don't miss the final showdown between the REAL ONE-EYED OWL and Ken Kaneki! 12:30 AM tomorrow only Toonami!
  12. Thought it would be either this or rerun of Tokyo Ghoul. Glad to see it's not Tokyo Ghoul..
  13. Were we ever on the subject of that? Because I sure as hell wasn't!
  14. No advance yet for Lupin. We may be stuck with 1-5 all week.
  15. Except that Jason DeMarco humped his songs at the end of each episode of Pre-Flight, you're right--nothing to do with Toonami. I'll bet some MF Doom tracks were used in recent Toonami bumpers. I'll also bet we get a new bumper set on 10/7/17!
  16. Doom to DOOM... I never actually listened to any of these 7 tracks, and now I feel like a complete dumbass... ...or perhaps I should say "DOOMKopf?"
  17. Super's average just keeps getting lower and lower, and I'd say it's quite possible no show's average will be in the millions by end of year (except Samurai Jack, of course, which is done.)
  18. Sad but probably true. Well, the monkey part is sad. The result, not so much! We have more numbers: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-9-23-2017.html "In animation for an older crowd, Adult Swim performed as follows: DRAGON BALL Z up 0.02 to 0.38 and at 0.42/938K (the primetime editions down 0.06 to 0.30 and 0.21/583K), JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE up 0.05 to 0.36, TOKYO GHOUL down 0.01 to 0.32, LUPIN THE 3RD down 0.01 to 0.20, HUNTER X HUNTER down 0.04 to 0.23/499K, NARUTO steady at 0.21/456K, OUTLAW STAR up 0.01 to 0.18/405K, COWBOY BEBOP up 0.03 to 0.20/442K, and ATTACK ON TITAN up 0.02 to 0.19/447K." The worst this week was Hunter x Hunter, believe it or not! And JoJo did even BETTER with its 18-49 retention, but those numbers shall be refined soon...
  19. I don't know about you, but this would probably make ME shit my pants!
  20. Continuing forward with 9/23, finally: #8 Naruto Shippuden - only 3 pages again :'( #7 Outlaw Star - 7 pages #6 Dragon Ball Super - 8 pages #5 Hunter × Hunter - 9 pages, 4 posts on last page #4 Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters - 9 pages, 9 posts on last page #3 Lupin the 3rd -10 pages, 8 posts on last page #2 Tokyo Ghoul √Ā - 10 pages, 10 posts on last page #1 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders - 12 pages Wow, nice, Tokyo Ghoul and Lupin!!
  21. I dunno--a lot of people are looking forward to this dub! Who was looking forward to Tokyo Ghoul, again? It was too Bleach-head to be edgelord and too edgelord to be Bleach-head! (that said, I am re-watching Root A this week in anticipation of the finale this weekend, but I digress...) But at least you know what you're getting with Gundam IBO! Then again, AOT S2 didn't change anything, sooo...
  22. Part 5 is actually more likely to be called the "French Adventure" since it'll be set in France, not Spain. Sorry I screwed THAT up! http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2017-07-06/lupin-iii-gets-5th-anime-series-set-in-france/.118492
  23. So, last Saturday night we had a perfect night in trending, but would that translate to higher ratings? The answer is: yes, and no. http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-9-23-2017.html 9/23/2017 Dragon Ball Super (8:30) #19 (-10) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.33 Estimated 18-34 - 224,000 ( 28.61% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.30 Estimated 18-49 - 385,000 ( 49.17% ) Total Viewers - 783,000 9/23/2017 DBZ Kai: Final Chapters #10 (STEADY) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.50 Estimated 18-34 - 340,000 ( 41.11% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.38 Estimated 18-49 - 487,000 ( 58.89% ) Total Viewers - 827,000 9/23/2017 JJBA: Stardust Crusaders - #13 (+1) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.47 Estimated 18-34 - 319,000 ( 43.11% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.36 Estimated 18-49 - 462,000 ( 62.43% ) Total Viewers - 740,000 9/23/2017 Tokyo Ghoul - #18 (-6) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.42 Estimated 18-34 - 285,000 ( 43.05% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.32 Estimated 18-49 - 410,000 ( 61.93% ) Total Viewers - 662,000 9/23/2017 Lupin the 3rd - #30 (+3) Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.25 Estimated 18-34 - 170,000 ( 37.44% ) Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.20 Estimated 18-49 - 256,000 ( 56.39% ) Total Viewers - 454,000 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders hits a new high in everything but 18-34 and Lupin the 3rd hits a new low in 18-34. In fact, no "cable premiere" show in the SBD era (since 4/11/15) has posted a 0.25 or lower in 18-34--until today. Lupin finally has achieved that ignoble honor! While I really want Toonami to keep going with Lupin the 3rd and pick up the French Adventure (Part 5) when it's available (hell, maybe even boost it to a World Premiere this time), some measure of trepidation must be felt over Lupin the 3rd Part 4's low ratings. Gundam Unicorn bottomed out at a 0.27 18-34; hopefully this will be Lupin the 3rd's floor in Adult Swim's classic target demographic! Hopefully Gundam IBO can help out the situation with its return and give Hunter x Hunter and Lupin a boost (not to mention JoJo before it), but I guess we'll know in 2 weeks!
  24. That isn't solo; it featured 2 other members of Pink Floyd! It was technically a Pink Floyd album! That was also the case for 1994's Division Bell and 2014's Endless River. As opposed to Rattle That Lock, which was, like On An Island, Gilmour solo.
