  1. Pulled, no. Moved down, probably to 2:30 AM to replace Space Dandy on August 11th, now I could see that!
  2. NEXT TIME... DBS gets the exit topical, with a funny clip from the upcoming Beerus Baseball episode! Until next week...LATER! (Well at this time anyway)
  3. While they cleaned up the animation a lot from the original Japanese broadcast in 2015, which was REALLY lazy, you can still see some small elements of badly-drawn Goku. And now Beerus with the finishing blow! The funniest scene is how trashed King Kai's micro-planet is!
  4. Commercial Break--PTE got the leadoff topical. No back-end topical; that spot was filled with a Boomerang ad of all things! And now BACK TO THE ACTION, Super Saiyan 3 Style!
  5. Episode 4 was on yesterday, PTE was the only featured Topical. Tonight we've got Episode 5: "Showdown on King Kai's World! Goku vs. Beerus The Destroyer" And to be honest it really is kind of an underwhelming episode, though there are some funny moments. Also, NO Pre-Flight tonight. It seems this week's will be the FLCL panel tomorrow at AX.
  6. Yeah, I really do think we'll see this, and it would be better for ratings: July 21, 2018: 8 PM Rick & Morty x2 9 PM Family Guy x2 10 PM Dragon Ball Super 10:30 Attack on Titan Season 3 11 PM-4 AM Rest of Toonami 4 AM Rick & Morty x2 5 AM Cleveland Show x2
  7. Ok, you're right about that! Also, unlike the break that we had between Parts 2 and 3, there will be no break between the end of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable!
  8. Yeah, I'd say that's pretty huge, except that FUNi also acquired Darling In The Franxx and we've yet to see that on Toonami either. Then again, perhaps we're better off for that, even if it DOES have Toonami written all over it, it might not be good enough for the Better Cartoon Show. There isn't much precedent of Gridman, but then again, I guess you could say the same about MegaloBox. The only difference is that FUNimation has its own platform for streaming, and Viz doesn't, so MB is almost 90% certain to be Toonami bound, while Gridman is more like 60%.
  9. FUNimation panel just ended. No news yet regarding Attack on Titan Season 3 coming to Toonami, but it is getting a simuldub, and it has its own panel tomorrow.
  10. Probably so, but most likely not with that music, though that music WOULD seem to fit!
  11. Nothing big was announced the rest of Thursday night's panels, well not much we didn't already know, anyway. http://toonamifaithful.com/what-to-watch-for-toonami-related-panels-to-check-out-at-ax2018/
  12. In this thread, we post news from AX that might affect the future of Toonami, including possible acquisitions. First up is a title that many have suspected would be a great fit for Toonami from the Spring 2018 season: Viz Media acquires MegaloBox: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2018-07-05/viz-media-adds-smashed-junji-ito-story-collection-manga-megalobox-anime/.133827
  13. You mean "Animes", right?? Might wanna fix that... If we're talking only original series, and no spinoffs, continuations, or reboots: Cowboy Bebop 2018 Trigun 2006 FLCL 2018 Evangelion 2007 Wolfs Rain never InuYasha 2014 Ghost in Shell 2018 Full Metal Alchemist 2010
  14. This just in, for MONDAY night: http://programminginsider.com/monday-final-ratings-braves-yankees-is-yes-networks-highest-rated-non-red-sox-telecast-in-four-years/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (ADSM, 8:00 PM, 30 min.)• 0.455 million viewers (#75)• 0.28 HH (#77)• 0.16 A18-49 (#62)• 0.18 A18-34 (#39)• 0.15 A25-54 (#90) Pretty respectable for a weeknight rerun with no advertising, eh? At least it managed to beat the midnight hour and beyond of Toonami last week in total viewers!
  15. Hmmm, Pop Team Epic got the topical tonight. Actually, there were 2--one for Dragon Ball Super's new episode as well...but this is totally the perfect built-in timeslot to plug Toonami shows!
  16. You'd think I'd have better things to do on the 4th of July than watch old Dragon Ball Super episodes, but here we are! EPISODE 3: Where Does The Dream Pick Up? Find the Super Saiyan God!
  17. Damn, did I even see everything?? I guess so... 12. Lack of Gundam 11. Pop Team Epic - Sure, I laughed at it, but it is objectively the worst-drawn show on the lineup. 10. Dragon Ball Super - funny but forgettable!! 9. Black Clover - I didn't expect this show to go the romantic comedy relief route, but it did! 8. Hunter × Hunter - Well, here's where Death Parade got its first arc idea! 7. My Hero Academia - Kind of a transition episode in which not much happens, but that stinger for next week, oh man!! 6. Naruto: Shippuden - Madara is just as menacing as ever! 5. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders - Joseph is such a sly old man, and is Avdol really gone?? 4. Lupin the 3rd - Painting the tiger's nails pink? Don't try that at home! 3. Space Dandy - New classic awesome! 2. Cowboy Bebop - Old classic awesome! 1. FLCL Progressive - Two words: "Hello Hidomi-nator" Really looking forward to the finale now!!

But MHA and PTE REALLY dropped the ball, unfortunately. Hopefully since now MHA is leaving superhero slice-of-life and getting to some REAL conflict with All Might's old rivals, its ratings retention will improve as well! I'm also interested to see how reruns of FLCL2 do starting the week after next!
  19. Well darn. Missed Episode 2, but ain't like I haven't seen it before!
  20. In retrospect, maybe they SHOULD have pulled an OP with MHA and started with the recap episode that begins the 2nd season...
  21. Ugh. The Adult Swim late-night line-up performed as follows: DRAGON BALL up a tick to 0.45, MY HERO ACADEMIA down a tick to 0.28/601K, FLCL up 0.02 to 0.27, POP TEAM EPIC at 0.21/437K, JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURES down a tick to 0.20, HUNTER X HUNTER down 0.03 to 0.18/386K, BLACK CLOVER down 0.04 to 0.18/377K, NARUTO down 0.02 to 0.21/379K, SPACE DANDY down 0.03 to 0.15/287K, COWBOY BEBOP down 0.03 to 0.12/245K, and LUPIN THE 3RD steady at 0.13/247K. 6/30/18 - Total Viewers Show Viewers Retention DBS 893,000 #DIV/0! 22. EPIC FAIL??? http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-6-30-2018.html Yeah, kinda. But it might do better if DBS can get back above 900K, let alone a million. Decent sampling in key demos, though I would have hoped FLCL/PTE had a little bit more girl power behind them. This part of the lineup has the potential to be the analogue of the Kill la Kill-SAO-InuYasha mini-block from 2015 (albeit with numbers a fraction that high), but that isn't what we're seeing. Shows with strong female leads have been few and far between on Toonami in recent years, and unfortunately this pairing will be very short-lived, at least in premieres. After next week FLCL2 goes into reruns and we only get to see the demographic performances of 3 shows for a while. Even so, all of Toonami's eligible shows made the Top 12, DBS won the night in 18-34 among cable originals, FLCL2 came in 3rd, Pop Team Epic 5th, and JoJo tied for 6th. Also, JoJo retained well in total viewers and key demos. And on that note, DeMarco says "Thank You!"
  23. Do y'all think Toonami will air the recap episode??
  24. It appears that Disney X.D. is getting somewhat serious about kid-oriented action in latenight/overnight hours. They're airing Pokémon @ 2 AM, and Beyblade Burst Evolution @ 2:30 AM every night, including Saturdays and Sundays. What are your thoughts on this?
