Which is a shame, because I believe Season 3 to be a lot better than Season 2, since a lot of the show's biggest mysteries are actually being revealed, though to be fair most of them were HINTED at toward the end of Season 2. But the only thing Season 2 did really well was the Bertholdt/Reiner reveal. EDIT: Yep, that IS an improvement. It struggled to make the Top 20 last week--this week at #14! The current 2-hours-reconquered prime time rank peak is #12 by Boruto in Week 2, since we don't have uncompromised data for Week 1. Also, all PT shows improved in 18-34 except MHA, which declined somewhat. Also, Toonami gets a movie lead-in tomorrow, and it's quite an interesting choice: Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb. Not really sure what to make of this one; it's live action, right? If only CN could lead-into Toonami and [as] with superhero movies once again...

You may be right, but at least now Toonami begins at 9 PM. That's a garbage timeslot, but strangely quite watchable. Yes, I know they're up against College Football Rivalry Week, but that isn't the Parade's key demographic. Only thing is, Super right now isn't in its best batch of episodes. A marathon of 14 episodes now would go back to post-Zamasu filler.

HELLSING-WEEN 2018 (A Retrospective)
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Oh yeah, Episode 7 was on 4 years ago, wasn't it??? This episode served an interesting purpose, and proved Major really didn't give a damn about his charges. And oh yeah, Seras completed her transformation. -
Crunchyroll, Toonami Teaming Up For Adult Swim Programming
OwlChemist81 replied to saito34's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
It didn't EXACTLY replace it--Anime Network STILL exists as a VOD service on DirecTV. -
What are you talking about? This is literally only the 2nd week it's happened! And Shippuden has NEVER been the #2 show before!

Last week was worse on both counts. Man, I never thought I'd see the day when a silly filler episode of Naruto Shippuden got the 2nd-highest 18-49 ratings for the night, Boruto came in 3rd, and literally EVERYTHING else was under 200K. But we had about the same thing last week, only the bump was before, rather than after, and the floor was really, really low. This week, it wasn't quite as low. When it comes to Boruto, I'd say it's a marathon, not a sprint. It's only Episode 5 of a LOOOONG series that needs a chance to establish itself in that timeslot. That said, DBS WAS doing better at 10:30 so a switcheroo (with N:S and BC also trading places) MIGHT not be a terrible idea. But then again, we've got Megalobox coming soon, and I'm thinking now it will be November 17th to replace Attack on Titan, though Toonami hasn't made an official announcement yet, and that would be moving it up QUITE a bit, though they DID do something similar with the original SAO when they suddenly and unexpectedly lost Thundercats. Also, count on Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 1 to get a rerun replacing Lupin, I'd say, though SOMETHING needs to replace One-Punch Man on the same night as AOT's mid-season finale. For that, maybe Pop Team Epic, or hell, even Gundam Unicorn? Alternatively, Toonami COULD double-up on Lupin at 2:30 on November 10th and 17th to blow through it, marathon Season 3 Part 1 of AOT on Thanksgiving Weekend from 9 PM-3 AM, finish off the night with another double-Jack, and THEN start AOT from the beginning doubled-up for a full hour sometime between 2 AM and 4 AM on December 1st! If they're still looking for something to do with those early episodes, and a weeknight run isn't an option, that might be the next best thing. Nothing like some man-eating-Titans to raise the back end and greet people coming home from nightclubs! Plus if they choose 3 AM, it would get the benefit of delayed viewing even if Jack sinks the block at 2:30. As for JoJo, it was a really weird one-off episode that most fans might find hard to stomach (yes, pun intended!). I'd say JoJo's biggest problem is it clashes stylistically with Attack on Titan. But once that's gone, I would move Mob Psycho back to Midnight. That might make the block "flow" better. Megalobox, if we're getting it as a direct replacement for AOT, just makes sense after Dragon Ball Super.

If you thought Mob Psycho 100 was going to save Toonami from its current ratings tailspin, THINK AGAIN: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-10-27-2018.html So where the hell is Mob? OH, THERE HE IS... #60 MOB PSYCHO 100 ADULT SWIM 11:30 PM 30 0.14 345 Well, at least he beat Ducktales on Disney in 18-49. And just for the hell of it, here's how JoJo did: #75 JOJOS ADV: DIAMOND UNBRK ADULT SWIM 12:30 AM 30 0.11 264 I'm sure a lot of this is attributed to the Saturday synagogue shooting since so many news programs did a bit better than usual, even if they didn't pull off the knockout punch they did with Kavanaugh's confirmation fiasco 3 weeks ago, but MAN, Toonami sure has seen better days!

The ANN review is equal parts praise and criticism. And the result of that is... https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/black-clover/episode-44/.135306 Rating: "C". C'mon now, the action was good... -
I agree, and so did our trusty ANN reviewer! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/jojo-bizarre-adventure-diamond-is-unbreakable/episode-10/.102866 Rating: "A". Even better than the Olive Garden!! What happened in this episode caught us off-guard somehow, but it really wasn't all that unusual. Remember, Okuyasu was actually a bad guy himself just 7 episodes ago...

mha My Hero Academia Episode #24 (211) Discussion
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
This is a great show, but at this point it's on so damn early I almost never watch it live! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/my-hero-academia/episode-24/.117293 Rating: "B+". Bit of a misstep this week, but next week should bring it and then some with Todoroki vs. Bakugo, which is an awesome concept in its own right, but we'll probably also get a little more serious plot advancement with Not Spawn a.k.a. Hero Killer Stain. -
