Dragonball Super Ep 96 Discussion
OwlChemist81 replied to mochi's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Yeah, we've ALMOST made it, haven't we!! Apologies for the crappy quality. Sometimes Caboose Jr. misses these things when Toonami doesn't get them in time to play them the previous Saturday night. -

Black Clover Page 55 4th episode of Season 2 Just watch it, OK!?! 2 AM 2 Moro night, 2/2, ONLY 2NAMI!! -
On Adult Swim right now: GRAVY PORN. No, seriously, what the hell was that!?
-
It just occurred to me that Samurai Jack first came to Toonami in February 2014, so it has been on Adult Swim in some capacity (either on air or streaming) for 5 years now. Could it be that it actually had a cross-network contract and went to Adult Swim for 5 years? And could it be that it was "traded" for Adventure Time? I guess we'll never know for sure, but if [as] is down to just Season 5, which they produced, that would be telling.

I had 2 purposes: to show that copying and pasting a message effectively makes it invisible unless selected in the default setting; and to make an obscure Monty Python quote!
-
Actually, it won the night in pretty much every category! But that's what it was doing when Toonami took over the whole night too. However, these numbers are much better. It's not a stretch to say that it currently owns the best peak ratings of the entire year! Then again, that year is just a month old...

Well, this is all they decided to show us this week. I guess those Ballmastrz numbers stunk like sweaty balls so they stopped reporting them? Dragon Ball Super blew away the 2nd Family Guy by a large margin in all departments! BTW, that 10:30 episode of FG has been hilariously consistent, as this is the 3rd week in a row it's scored exactly 727K! Hmmm... Meanwhile, for the Dragon Ball Power Hour, we have this: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-1-26-2019.html#comment-200972 Adult Swim’s line-up performed as follows: DRAGON BALL at 0.35 and 0.16/489K & 0.16/431K... So it's plain to see that the Power Hour averaged 460K, but we're really not sure which show was which...

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? what is it now, ya great pillock?

Yeah, only 2 more weeks left to go of the 6-hour challenge! Ironically, Gundam and Pop Team Epic actually did pretty good after AOT crapped the bed. But I don't believe Gundam IBO is really gone for good. I believe it's most likely to replace AOT on March 2nd. After all, MOB getting that timeslot instead would only make sense if we're NOT getting Season 2 until June. I just can't see that happening. I believe Mob Psycho 100 II replaces MegaloBox.

It usually gets trashed in the fall by college football, but historically it is a bit stronger in the winter, spring, and summer. So you think best ratings of the year for DBS = Best ratings of the year for the entire block? Wow, Dragon Ball Super back over 8-Hundred-THOUSAND!! Also, it's in the Top 5, and a new all-time high for Boruto!! http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-1-26-2019.html

Ode to fucking JOY Sword Art does it again

Why this hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread is straight-up beyond me: Yep, this tone-deaf depiction of sexual assault is indeed headed to Toonami!- 65 replies

streaming 2019 Marathon Stream Archives
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Well, seems I was wrong. Hunter x Hunter was indeed on the stream over the weekend, (and for the first time it was deep in the Chimera Ant arc), but the show they've chosen to go out on is none other than the oldest action show the network currently owns: Samurai Jack! -
I'd say Toonami is actually quite likely to expand back into the 10 PM hour at some point. Now starting February 9th, the whole first 2 hours will be covered up with long-runners, and there won't be any room for seasonal series. That won't work for things like the new seasons of Lupin, Attack on Titan, or One-Punch Man (already assuming Mob Psycho Season 2 gets to replace MegaloBox). There is also that Gundam Origins show that must go SOMEWHERE if Toonami's airing that. So at some point I feel Saturday night will either go back to just having an hour of Family Guy as far as non-Toonami programming in prime-time goes, sandwiched between two episodes of Dragon Ball Super, or the Kai rerun will go to weeknights once Jack ends its run and DBS will lose its power hour encore.
