streaming 2019 Marathon Stream Archives
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
No advance for Lupin; we're stuck with 17-21 all weekend, but 18 is one of my personal favorites, and I also love the action in 19-20! Oh, and they fixed the sync issues on 17, believe it or not. Hopefully we get to see the last episodes of Part 4 on the stream finally. The weekend that Part 5 premieres would be great for that! -

Call me crazy, but didn't DBS do better in primetime at 10:30 PM than Family Guy at 10? Of course, FG also lost to it last week so this might be just a fluke. Still, it went downhill from there, and over half the lineup was under 200K 18-49: 1/12/19 - Adults 18-49 *Denotes Estimate Show Viewers Retention DBZ Kai* 282,000 DBS (R)* 269,000 95.39% DBS (P) 380,000 67.38% Boruto 277,000 72.89% MHA 271,000 97.83% MP100 273,000 100.74% MegaloBox 232,000 84.98% JoJo4 194,000 83.62% B. Even so, the average for last year's experiment was only 183K in 18-49, so I guess even if this was kind of a bad week for Toonami, it's still a HUGE improvement! Oddly enough, the Dragon Ball Power Hour did MARKEDLY better in Adults 18-49 than last week, but somehow NOT in total viewers or Adults 18-34! I guess that only means one thing: a LOT more people in my demographic were watching the Dragon Ball Power Hour last week compared to 1/5/19, which I guess means the NFL Playoff game was really that boring!

I think it's not a stretch that we'll see 700Ks for DBS once again before too long!

Goblin Slayer WOULD be an interesting chance to air those Tigtone promos, but I think it's only gonna run for 6 episodes, and like The Shivering Truth, it will be out of premieres by January. As for Toonami, some shows went up and some went down, but Megalobox did cross an interesting threshold for the first time ever: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-1-12-2019.html Megalobox cracked 400K for the first time ever in total viewers, but it actually did WORSE in 18-49 than last week, as did Dragon Ball Super and JoJo. Boruto and Mob did better, so it will be interesting to see if this week actually beat last week when all is said and done. Another interesting thing is that Toonami seems to be getting some of its "girl power" mojo back, at least for Dragon Ball Super. That's the highest F12-34 rating, and the closest to P18-34 and M12-34, that I've seen in a while.

Toonami U.S. Trending Report Screencaps Thread
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
When we do well, we get results EARLY. And it's hard to imagine doing better than HALF the shows trending these days!! Not only that, we had 2 character trends, and Shippuden went all the way to #2!! Here's the breakdown: #Toonami [#5] #DragonBallSuper [#20] #MegaloBox [#10] #JoJosBizarreAdventure [#10] Josuke (From JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) [#19] #BlackClover [#8] #HunterXHunter [#4] #Shippuden [#2] TenTen (From Shippuden) [#20] Not too shabby!! Oh yeah, and Megalobox is keeping its perfect streak going at 4 for 4!! -
streaming 2019 Marathon Stream Archives
OwlChemist81 replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Wow, it's Monday afternoon and they've ALREADY changed the stream! It's now Lupin the 3rd Part 4, but it's nearly unwatchable since it's hilariously out-of-sync by about 10 seconds, or at least the first episode in the queue (#17) is. I haven't seen the later ones yet. EDIT: I am happy to report that Episodes #18-#21 play correctly. -
MOB PSYCHO SEASON 1 ENDS 2/2/18 (WITH OVA, IF IT PLAYS, 2/9/18) Technically, the first open slot has already been filled, as the first season of Black Clover ended 2 weeks ago and was immediately replaced with the 2nd last week with absolutely no fanfare from Toonami (though they did telegraph it with the "sleep when you're dead" bump that had been playing since December 8th). Since it pretty much continued the plot that started with the last episode of Season 1, that was probably a decent decision on Toonami's part, but will they do the same for Mob Psycho Season 2? Yes, it will get a topical, but will they even announce the turnover to the next season IF they get it right away? This is not only likely, it probably was the plan all along, despite the fact that it has NOT been announced, but maybe that's the trick? It doesn't really need fanfare of its own if the transition is seamless. However, they HAVE done arc promos for JoJo, but they're already calling Season 1 episodes "all new" in topicals, but it's quite likely they'll actually just keep on playing it and not even acknowledge the fact that its status is essentially changing from network premiere to dub premiere. Also, there is some uncertainty regarding WHEN it plays, as it does have an OVA, but Toonami isn't really known for playing those (though they technically DID with Lupin the 3rd Part 4). However, Mob Psycho 100 IS the first acquisition from Crunchyroll, so it's unsure how they'll handle OVA's, BUT it's still unlikely since the OVA is an hour long! It would pre-empt a couple of shows if it aired, which, though slowing down MHA and Megalobox might be desired, is highly unlikely. So, long story short, I believe we can expect Season 2 to seamlessly replace Season 1 on 2/9/18. POP TEAM EPIC RERUN ENDS 2/9/18 While it's quite possible they'll simply contract Toonami again and move Gundam IBO up to 4 AM, I doubt that's what will happen. More likely they replace it with another rerun, and that show COULD be Outlaw Star, but if the deal they got for that is a 2-year deal, it seems like it would have to end in Mid August, which means no marathon pre-emptions could affect the 4 AM hour. Another possibility is IGPX; a true HD run of that would be great. But really, the possibilities for it are quite limited, which brings me to... ATTACK ON TITAN SEASON 3 PART 1 RERUN ENDS 2/23/18 As if one rerun timeslot isn't enough of a problem, in March Toonami will have to deal with another one! Megalobox will still be premiering in early March, so that can't directly replace it, although I think it is destined to eventually get a rerun on the back end. However, I'd say the best thing to replace AOT with would be FLCL Progressive, which would buy enough time for Megalobox to end. Speaking of... MEGALOBOX ENDS 3/16/18 Megalobox actually broke with the 12-rounds-per-match boxing convention and went to a 13th round, and when THAT'S over, we've got our first true open timeslot of the first half of 2019. What will fill it? I'd say Lupin the 3rd Part 5 is likely, though the possibilities are nearly endless. Comment below with suggestions! EXPANSION WILDCARD: BALLMASTRZ 9009 ENDS 2/2/18 If Toonami has a chance to re-expand to 10:30, it's when Ballmastrz ends. It only has 10 episodes, which means doubled-up it would last 5 weeks. That could mean that there would be another new show when MP 100 S1 ends! And that new show might even bump down Boruto, MHA, and MP100 and premiere at 12:30 I THINK THAT'S IT. DBS won't end until November, Boruto is ongoing, and I expect MHA and JoJo to simply be replaced with the next available seasons in the queue immediately, so really the only opening in the front half, barring expansion, is MP100 after Season 2. And then Hunter x Hunter will end sometime, but those are hardly "early" 2019.

I'm not saying he'd die, though I guess that's a possibility. I'm just saying he might suddenly not be capable of giving you what you want out of it at a critical time, that's all! -

But would you be OK with him losing his Quirk and going "Skinny Toshimori" in the middle of it? -

To be fair, to me that would suck, unless... 1. They're an attractive young woman, and 2. They do it just right!
