  1. Kagura, yes. 2nd episode of Final Act. Rin is younger than Kagome and if she died, it would definitely be an untimely death. I believe she'll be like a 25-year old woman in the series, which means that one of the younger male characters will no doubt have a boyish crush on her!
  2. Yep, it'll be back on Toonami someday!
  3. KAAAAAGOOOMEEEE!!!! No, but seriously, this is apparently more than just new manga, but some sort of new anime as well!
  4. Actually, I think we got it twice, in Episode 12 and Episode 17. Those have been Zenitsu's times to shine--so far!
  5. This is just too perfect. Aside from the whole-block interruption that was the DBZ Kai marathon, My Hero Academia has dodged quite a few bullets when it comes to having to rerun an episode, including the then-improbable prospect of having Episodes 84 and 85 premiere as scheduled, but has Toonami's luck in keeping its flagship show relatively uninterrupted finally caught up with it? The next episode is quite an interesting coincidence, considering that its episode number has a meaning other than one more than 85: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/86_(term) Interestingly enough, this article leaves off this reference that my eagle eye spotted in classic CN staple Tom & Jerry's "Cue Ball Cat:" But I digress. "86'ed" essentially means the item you're trying to order is out of stock or otherwise unavailable. Episode #86 is up next and it's quite possible it won't be available, as in it will be 86'ed by the coronavirus and FUNimation. However, since FUNimation has NOT yet streamed it on its service, it may be the first episode of MHA that plays on Toonami first before ending up on FUNimation NOW. IF it's not 86'ed, we might be getting an honest-to-God dub premiere of MHA on Toonami! One might theorize that the cost of allowing Toonami first plays of the remaining 3 episodes of MHA before their service is able to premiere it was for Toonami to give the show a weekday run from the beginning to increase its exposure, but I'm not really sure how that tit-for-tat works. Since the show premiered exactly a year ago today, on May 5th, 2018, it's quite possible it was renegotiated for more durable rights by Adult Swim, and that includes not only the dub premieres of the final 3 episodes of Season 4, but Season 5 as well! So what's it gonna be? Dub premiere of #86, or MHA premieres "86'ed!?" The answer may indicate more than that episode's dub premiere status!
  6. Oops, I did it again! Once again I missed my "flashback 5 years ago" post on Saturday. When WILL I get in the habit of doing that? Who the hell knows!? Well, this isn't reassuring. MHA back to pre-pandemic levels, but at least it still won 18-34 and Men 18-49: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-5-2-2020.html In fact, Toonami utterly DOMINATED the Male 18-49 demo, but with UFC Prelims returning to ESPN, I don't expect that to continue this week. Plus, JoJo finally back in the Top 20! And as for the rest of the lineup: "Adult Swim’s late-night line-up performed as follows: DRAGON BALL at 0.08/188K & 0.08/193K compared to last week’s 0.11/263K & 0.11/255K, MY HERO ACADEMIA down 0.03 to 0.26, DEMON SLAYER down 0.04 to 0.20, PARANOIA AGENT down 0.03 to 0.17/338K, BLACK CLOVER down 0.05 to 0.15/308K, JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE down 0.05 to 0.14/280K, NARUTO down 0.02 to 0.14/284K, PRIMAL down 0.04 to 0.13/257K and SAMURAI JACK down 0.02 to 0.14/275K." Toonami's average was only 354K, the first time since March 14th the normal lineup was under 400K, and ranking 10th out of 18 for the year. Its 18-49 average was 228K, ranking 13th out of 18 for the year. So, despite half the block's known dominance in a few key demographics and MHA's #3 ranking, Toonami this week was below-average in the ratings. But damn, the quality of EVERY EPISODE was good. What the hell else are people doing? Watching Nick At Nite??
  7. I'll admit it's probably the weakest show on the lineup right now, but Black Clover is still utterly amazing. I realize it's been pretty hit-or-miss over the course of its 100+ episode run, but at this point it's a lot more hit than miss. Last weekend's episode was straight-up FIRE!
  8. I think it's a lot more likely that the movie gets rolled into the first 4-5 episodes of the TV series, meaning if we'd seen Mugen Train by that point, we'd be FINALLY getting new content by episode 5 or 6. Perhaps even 7 or 8; as ideally the Mugen Train arc of the series would be interspersed with new content you couldn't actually see in the movie if they go that route. Alternatively, they could go the route SAO took and completely skip over the movie in the series. Or they could go somewhere in-between and condense the events in the movie into just 1 or 2 episodes. It will be interesting to see how the franchise handles this! And last but not least, believe it or not, we actually DO have an English-dubbed teaser for the Mugen Train movie!
  9. Yeah, I can't say I understand it either, but it is what it is. If they had only fleshed out Ashi's resentment over being left a little bit more, it might have made more sense.
  10. That One-Punch Man bump!!!
  11. Did you notice how they both cut through what appeared to be the hollowed-out corpse of the Guardian?
  12. Something I never caught in 2017 was her anger when she thought Jack left her. That's how Aku was able to manipulate her once again, as we will now see!
  13. I forgot about this scene!
  14. We don't know if Fang survives, but she WAS in the April Fool's Midnight sneak premiere of Season 2! BTW, now every episode of Season 1 has aired 6 times total.
  15. Beat him to death with his own arms! And then he completely DESTROYS the white monkeys!
  16. Fang got hurt BADLY! But now Spear is HULKING UP!!
  17. Tonight was creepy demonic monsters night on Toonami!
  18. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!? At first I thought this thing was Archer Gilgamesh from Fate/Zero's weapon, but NOPE! That sure looks like a good cliffhanger to end the next-to-last episode of the filler arc on! And also, it's how the night ends! Up next, PRIMAL on [as]!
  19. Yes, and no. This is "embellished" canon. It has been done to fit into the canon storyline but it doesn't exist in the manga.
  20. How the hell does she do that? That's an ENIGMA, isn't it!?
  21. Yes, but NOT until September, and by then it just might be back off hiatus again! We're probably going to get marathon breaks at least for Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day. That means 118 by the end of May, 122 by the end of June, 125 by the end of July, and 130 by the end of August. After the Labor Day marathon, we would then have 2 more weeks in September until we get to 132, and the week after that we're finally out of Black Clovers. But the show will likely not be in hiatus quite that long. That's 4-1/2 months. Where in the hell are you getting the idea this is a budget issue? I think it's more along the lines of newly dubbed shows will be harder to get.
  22. You know what I've heard about that Sardinia isle? Sounds fishy!
  23. This show has been pretty consistently good in Season 3! A cut above most Pierrot fare!
