Yeah I think Prometheus does take place in an alternate universe. Well technically its possible its concurrent with the original story- Hadleys hope blows up, the company then decides to investigate in later years the events in Prometheous.. still somehow I feel like it doesn't pan out- why would Weylend give a fuck about the secrets of the universe or whatever ya know?
