I got the flu shot lol. It doesn't really matter when there's 20 new strains of the flu every year.

Probably because living with chronic pain all my life has led me to ignore the signals my body gives me until something is really fucked up.

Apparently I've had an ear infection, sinus infection and tonsil infection and it took me getting the flu to find out. Tussionex got me floating and antibiotics doing the work.

I don't know about AI in general, but for what I do you need a strong engineering background, fundamental understanding of data science (statistics, analytics, etc.) and it really helps to know some kind of relational logic system like SQL to frame things the right way in your mind.

I'm a software engineer and a computer scientist. I develop Machine Learning applications (weak AI) for business applications mostly.

I don't really keep track anymore. I wake up at 9 and work until 11pm-1am with random breaks in between of varying lengths and amounts. Sometimes I work a few hours on Saturday too. I'd guess around 90 or so a week on average.

I'm attempting to do a reasonable facsimile of one of the Butchers from Dark Souls. Just, without the being naked under the apron part.

Currently have a test forum set up. Converting users works perfectly. Converting all the posts to IPB takes about 13 hours per try, and it's not working completely right now, so it's a little slow going until I figure out why. Once I've confirmed posts get converted properly, we'll start the plan to move the forum. Stay tuned.

I am actually testing out the conversion as we speak. It's currently converting posts, which is taking several hours. You can definitely expect the forum to be down for a day when we move.

Over the last week, and especially since the announcement today, people keep telling me they don't see the rules enforced. I want you to understand that neither I, nor the moderation team goes through and reads every single post on this forum. You have to use the report button if you see something you think shouldn't be here. I get tale after tale of horrible things other users do in my PM inbox and never see reports about these things. As it stands we only see reports from maybe 4 or 5 users total. We can't enforce rules if you wont report people who break them.
