When Takara said that, it could've meant Memphisto was with the Illuminati.  But looks like that's not the case haha.

Shima wasn't the most amazing or likable character or anything, so I don't see it as a huge loss that he's a bad guy.  Still pretty surprising though.

Also not only is his staff like Miroku's, he's a ladies man too haha.
