PhilosipherStoned Posted Monday at 05:41 AM Posted Monday at 05:41 AM I've never had a problem with it before this last year or so. I'm not sure if it's a brand new development or something I've had for a while and I'm just now noticing it because it's gotten bad enough to effect my sleep quality, but if it gets any worse I feel like I'm gonna need a doctors visit or some kind of medical treatment. Is there anyone here that also deals with it? If so are there any remedies or treatments that you've found successful? Those masks and CPAP machines don't look fun at all. Quote
André Toulon Posted Monday at 12:02 PM Posted Monday at 12:02 PM Well make sure you actually have sleep apnea. I was treated for it for years until i found out its this gastric thing that was waking me up during my sleep studies. Now i just own a cpap for no reason...so thats 8k you dont have to spend if you get diagnosed incorrectly. 2 Quote

Well I've had sinus issues that cause me to almost always have to sleep with my head elevated and my throat doesn't feel right. Could be sinusitis or some kind of chronic throat inflammation causing me to bug out. So basically it was indigestion waking you up and not your airways being restricted? Damn so many things can seem like sleep apnea...I'm going to have to do one of those sleep studies I guess to know for sure. Edited Tuesday at 02:03 AM by PhilosipherStoned Quote
André Toulon Posted Tuesday at 12:35 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:35 PM Well, its not indigestion...the closest thing so far is it neurological, but frankly....im taking matters into my own hand with that But yeah....pretty sure you have to have a sleep study to get a real diagnosis and even that can be wrong. Granted, these are small town OK drs. I had to go to TX medical to find out what was actually going on, so you may have a head start there 2 Quote
Doom Metal Alchemist Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago My dad has it, and I suspect I might have it as well, but I haven't gotten tested. Quote
