Went to one of the houses where the clients live for the first time today

Was nice to finally see where I'll actually be working and meet some of the clients. Still a bit nervous about actually starting the work, tho.

The workers all seemed like they didn't want to be there or talk to us, though :| State employees, man. The girl I went there with who's assigned to the same house as me has worked for the state before and said that 80% of state employees are unfriendly people. I can see that :|

In my state, liquor store workers are state workers and they're probably the only friendly state workers.

Liquor store workers are state workers? How odd.

what kind of "job" you do?

Why is job in quotation marks :|

I work in a residential setting for people with developmental disabilities. Helping them with life skills and stuff like that so they can learn what they need to live independently (or in a group home setting) in the community.
