Jman
DeMarco’s first really big production outside of the Toonami bubble is headed to theaters this holiday season, and may determine how long he stays around now that the Eye of Zaslav has noticed him.

Mr. Idea Box
On the one hand, I want this movie to succeed so that DeMarco doesn't end up like Andy Merrill. On the other hand, I don't know who's in charge of Toonami's acquisitions unit.
Sketch
Comment sections are pissed that it looks like a girl boss movie about Helm’s daughter. This will be the first WBA film I will support in theaters since Wonka but I fully expect it to bomb. 1

I hate it because it ignores Tolkien’s mountain of lore to tell fanfic and retain film rights…like how Rings of Power uses appendixes to tell a fanfic story that ignores Tolkien. We are not the same. 1
Sketch
There’s no good reason to side step the rich lore to do a glorified fanfic. Who made this decision to focus on a character that wasn’t even named in the text rather than the legendary king? If it was DeMarco then he truly doesn’t understand what people want from animated films and shows based on existing IP (As if FLCL wasn’t already enough evidence). If it was Kamiyama then his track record is only getting worse with each new project.

Would still be funny if the person responsible for popularizing anime in the west was also the one to destroy it. Tragic, but hilarious. Jman
You’re making me wish DeMarco got an American studio to do his little train wreck.
